Eriksen has caused us a lot of problems in the last few seasons, and this season we have been caught a few times with alonso pushed forward. Hopefully kovacic is fit because I think he does a better job than Barkley of covering that space.

Really looking forward to this one though, spurs seem to have lost a little bit of energy in the middle of the park, with dembele starting to decline, and with sarri, I think we will see a lot more of the ball than we have in recent years.

It's a massive game, if we go there and win, it would keep us in touch with city and Liverpool, if we get beat, we could get dragged back into a battle for 4th, especially with city away coming up aswell.

Would like to see us utilize Kante to sit on Erikson and completely nullify him. And as you say, has to be Kovacic as opposed to Barkley for this one as we cannot afford to give away possession cheaply.

COME ON THE CHELS!

Given up on Morata. Hazard won’t score if he plays either so start Giroud.

Giroud has scored twice in ten games against Tottenham and has lost more than he's won.

that's a good shout, maybe it would worth switching kovacic and kante.

I only could watch half of the video - it was a love fest about what spudz do so well - btw, here is the gaffer's pre match press conference

Neville as usual cheering for Spuds...Your vid is much better :D

Will be a tough game and we have a thin squad. Will Morata turn up? Our team has obvious weaknesses and is unlikely to go  a full season without losing but at the same time every other team including Man C will see us as a tough opponent. Our midfield is the equal of any team and Hazard would make any team in the world. All three results are equally likely in my mind, win, draw or loss.

To state the obvious much will depend on whether we can actually score when we get into scoring positions, that goes for Willian, Pedro and Barkely as much as Morata and Hazard.

Spurs have had a number of players on international duty as well. I am scared for this game but not without hope.

Spurs look to be on form whereas we look static. We may be unbeaten but that doesn't count for nowt if the performances are woeful and some have been. Spurs are favourites so we will need to dig deep and put on a  strong display. This is all about bragging rights., let's hope we are bragging at the end of this match. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

I don’t remember being so pumped-up for this derby in a long while. The punters have either side winning at almost equal odds, and a 1-1 draw as the most likely result.

Even though City and Liverpool will likely win their games, I'll be happy with a point from this game.  Sarri is right, we've stunk the joint out the way we've started the last few games, let's hope we get on the right foot from the off this time around.

Always nervy with this fixture in recent times! Anyone know of any sites that will show the full game shortly after it's finished? I am on a flight whilst the game is on so am looking to watch a re-run when I get back.

Not the easy fixture it once was. Hope we can get the win, or the media are going to go overboard with the Spurs love again.

You not been watching our last few of games? He is scoring and looking much much better, would be idiotic to bench him now and that's why Sarri will not, sure as you're born.

Pretty optimistic about this game, last time when we played them we have been out of sorts for a while, and when Courtois didn't start we were in trouble even before a ball was kicked. This time we are in good form and been playing good football, they have done ok in terms of points but basically been winning ugly even against teams in the bottom half. There's not much wrong with winning ugly, you just don't want be doing it week after week even before the season reaches the half way point, the luck will go the other way sooner or later. The team pick its self, I'd play Pedro because of the International break ( or no break), could always bring on Willian against tired defenders. Let's hope we start better this game, the first 15 hasn't been good in the last few games.

The same Courtois who is losing 3-0 to Eibar right now and conceded 5 goals to Switzerland  on Monday. SO glad that over rated f**k left us

Will be a tight game; could go either way,

We have played better than Tottenham this season IMO and we do have a good record at Wembley, but Tottenham have a very good side and they know how to 'win ugly'.

Hope we belt them of course.
