We're an embarrassment. Total disgraceful second half performance. Players and manager have questions to answer about their attitude and ability.

Yeah totally agree with the above, a total disgrace tonight

I’m done with this now.............what a load of s***e! The guy hasn’t got a clue. How can you be outrun by Bournemouth, they looked faster and picked us off at will. Get rid of Sarri he’s out of his depth in this league. I mean where is RLC and CHO from the start it’s a joke.

There is no defending this group anymore, they have lost me. I don't see the fight, I don't see the determination and will to win. They step up in the big games but don't seem to give a damn about the games in between.

If they don't want to fight, then I don't see why I should be supporting them.

I'm fairly sure that's the first time we've lost by more than three goals since 2001... when we lost 5-1 to a Teddy Sheringham-fuelled Tottenham in the League Cup. Not that we've played against anyone particularly impressive in that time...

But of course this is all building towards something, we keep developing week-by-week, we've certainly improved since the beginning of the season when we fluked games thanks to opposition striker continually missing sitters.

We're really entertaining to watch.

Wait...

We are the sixth best team in the league and the highlight of our season was beating our once pitiful rivals on penalties (who have already beaten us twice this season) on penalties after their manager figured our our "plan B" after 45 minutes.

I relate to the smoking anxiety he experiences on the touchline...

So how are we better, in any way, for having Sarri as our manager?

Man City and Liverpool aren’t getting papped 4-0 by Bournemouth

Oh but yesteday, ManU at home was losing 0:1 to Burnley, and then Burnley scored another goal making it 0:2...With Manu having just like we have the majority of possession all game long. But then a miracle happen you see, their players scored 2 goals and didn't lose the game in the end. How's that possible when Burnley knew how ManU plays, knew their players and had 2 goal lead? Is it because of the incredible rookie manager Solskaear or however the f**k you spell his name, or is it due to his players that actually care about not being humiliated?

and yet the club got rid of Conte after failing to back him....

In retrospect, sacking him was a huge mistake ! Should have been backed instead of getting the shaft imo ... Now, this performance shows that WE MUST PLAY YOUTH !!! WE DONT HAVE MONEY TO REBUILD EVERYTHING BY SPLASHING 450 MILLION £ !!!! WE MUST PLAY OUR FCUKING YOUTH !!! Put 2 or 3 of them in the regular team, and then we could see the begining of better things !

Also, GET RID OF JORGINHO AND PUT BACK KANTÉ AT 6 !!!

If this is true, then don't you think it's a big problem? How many coaches do we sack before pointing the finger at the players?

Player power at the club has to stop, it's starting to have a really negative affect on the club. What other club would accept Willian being so disrespectful to their manager after a cup win? He was even making jokes about it when he was interviewed a few weeks later. Willian is lucky to be still at the club after that. If Conte can lose his job for basically saying the players are rubbish and moaning all season, then the players should get the same treatment.

Agree with you 100 percent and it amazes me so many people calling for sarris head here, playing in to the very issue.

Same problems under 3 managers, toothless, down tools, fanning about, no aggression or personality.

There is a rotten core at the club where player power is making it impossible for managers to succeed, the  second the players don’t fancy him it’s over, that’s not how a successful club should work.

Then to compound that we have some bird who knows f**k all about football is running out club.

Need a technical detector and a clear out in summer, in addition hazard is a wonderful player but he doesn’t work for us he needs to be in a team full of stars for his type of football to work, as much as I appreciate his ability I think he is probably the biggest diva in the dressing room, we should cash in on him and just rebuild the team under a new technical director.

True. but tbf they got a lucky pen though.

Kepa , kante and odoi, 3 players id keep, rest of them are completely replaceable, that includes hazard, barely gets past a brisk walk, he has no passion no effort and doesnt give a f**k about chelsea

The club has become a total joke and the blame lies firmly in the boardroom. Here we have a bunch of non-football, businessmen making all the decisions regarding players, managers etc. Good youngsters being sold or put out on loan to clubs who are reaping the benefit big time while we continue with substandard and ageing players who, in all truth would have a job holding down a regular place in teams like Southampton, Watford, Palace and the like. We have over the past few years lost high-quality managers who were forced to play players, quite frankly, not fit to wear the shirt because the board wouldn't back them in the transfer market while the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham and others have streaked ahead of us with rebuilding their squads, FFS we still have half the players who won the league with Mourinho!! Sarri was hired by the board as were most of the players who couldn't even get into the first team of their previous clubs. This is just beyond a joke. Just to finish, here's a quick resume of our wonderful BOD. read through this and see the accumalated wealth of footballng knowledge we have here. All profiles courtesy of Wikipedia.

I'll be very annoyed if we sack Sarri. We need to give him the time

Happy to give him time if he shows he can adapt but that looks very unlikely.

It's been said no end on here but just to reiterate, kante is the best defensive midfielder on the planet, f**king play him there.

Just now, just said:

That's a worrying opinion. Would  you  give Sarri £200 million to spunk based on what you've seen so far?

I wouldn't.

It wouldn't be Sarri making the signings even if he is still here though. It would be the vast pool of football knowledge that makes up our board ;)

Conte was gone when he didn't sign an extension. Conte wasn't sacked, he was shown the door he opened himself

If that was the case I wouldn't blame him trying to work with board who have no vision and no guts to back managers when they need the support most against a troublesome player , or players that put in the kind of performance we saw tonight; we have let so many good successful managers go, rather than bring in some calmness and stability, but oh no, they would rather it be a continuing circus, especially in recent years of panic buys, buying mediocre squad players and having no direction for our young players.

Some people want to lay all the blame on Sarri.

Some people want to lay all the blame on the players.

Personally I think there is more than enough blame for all of them to have their fill of it.

Total agree, no hiding place for players or manager tonight, each have questions to answer about themselves. Simply not good enough.

Even Antonio Conte, when actively hating the club and hating his job (and also sidelining his most decorated player out of sheer spite) managed to win the FA Cup with this group of players.

I didn't want to see Conte go. The board should have patched things up with him. Having said that when you talk about his Cup win last season, we are currently in one final, and the 5th round of the FA Cup, not to mention Europa.

Oh I agree with you, I dislike so many of our current group of players. Think they're mercenaries of the highest order.

In my opinion what we see is a clear sign of people mismanagement. Yes, players are prima donnas, but they are not gluttons for misery. If you are forced to play out of position, if you are forced to perform in a weird senseless setup, if you KNOW that your manager does not recognise nor use your best qualities and is a clueless waste of space, who is happy to blame you for his own screw-ups, then I very much doubt that you would enjoy your job and do your best.  Happy productive skilled environment produces desired outcome.   My wife can bake a beautiful delicious cake, but give me the same ingredients and you will get a dog's dinner, and I would surely blame flour and whatever else.

We were saying a striker is the problem, well GH did f**k all wrong, made all the right runs, was active, moved about, sharp, linked up, he got zero service.

Our problem is the same one it has always been our attacking midfield pass side to side, no one runs in, if and when the full backs overlap they deliver poor balls, and we don’t have a good pairing for Kante, same issues, side to side, no danger, no aggression, doesn’t matter if we brought in pep, klopp, whoever, with these players one way or another we will get side to side passing about the box, have done for years now. Building a team round hazard required players that run in behind, not a team of side to side stop and start players, doing what hazard does but not as well.

D is too slow to play a high line against fast counters, passing to the opponent doesn't help and no one in the box for crosses  but we had 70% possession. I'm sad.

Haven’t seen the game but can’t believe we’ve conceded4 goals in one half. I know we’ve struggled up front, but to concede like this with a back four that we wanted is poor. Players who have been dropped have dodged a bullet. Worse result in premier league since 1996 against dippers away 5-1

Cant sack Sarri yet, he may have a system and tactics but doesn’t have control on the players decisions and movement every second of the game. These players should have the skill and brains to create and defend in every game.
