And sanctions, but let’s not kid ourselves, I’ve been to games when around me the capacity was 3/4, Bournemouth midweek in January in 2018, if I remember correctly, freezing cold and got thumped 3-0 at home. Several other games against mid table teams also not at full capacity. This season more recently, Arsenal at home did not have all ST holders in the stadium. And it took a long time to sell all tickets for Wembley this year, at least against Palace. I’m not convinced that we’d fill a 50-60k seater week in week out.

I think the club could easily sell another 10-20k season tickets, alone, lots of fans have been unable to get a season ticket fro many years, i could see a lot of people snapping them up.

I agree grudgingly the cost of living is not going to help either. Our main problem with support is the bulk of it is not local like the rest of the London clubs a temporary  move to Wembley would see crowds no higher than the capacity at the moment and less when playing the likes of Brighton, Wolves etc especially midweek.

I wonder if we have a new owner who can think outside the box?

Build a new multi functional stadium at Earls Court with 60'000 seats and retracting roof. Then play all of our games there for 3 seasons whilst Stamford Bridge is redeveloped into 60'000 seat SOTA football stadium, all safe standing, then hire out Earls Court for functions like concerts, NFL, boxing, tennis, even offer it to the FA as an alternative to Wembley stadium as a neutral ground for cup games and play offs when only 60k seats are needed, let the women's team play their home league games there.

It could be a real money earner for the club, we need to think outside the box to fight above our weight.

Ask us in Toronto how the Sky Dome worked out....same idea, was the first of its kind, massive cost overruns; they worked it out that it would have to be at capacity 600 days a year ....there are only 365 so they were behind the 8 ball before they started. They have had a few games of football there over the years but because it is a multi-purpose stadium the field is Astro-turf and they had to ship in real turf for some of the games.   Here's a link if you are interested reading more..

Would be really a massive statement to grant the earls court stadium to the Chelsea Women. They deserve it.

But could he convinced Clearlake to invest the what? 1bill for earls court and 2bill for the bridge?

Sky Sports are also reporting the new broken by @JM7 , I mean Ben Jacob's,

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12620083/chelsea-takeover-todd-boehlys-bid-set-to-be-approved-by-the-government-in-next-24-hours

However they also say Boehly and Wyss were also there on Sunday to watch our 1-1 draw with Watford so...

Excuse me. Todd and his people saw us tear apart Watford with Barkley 2-1. Perfect scenario to start making things happen in terms of the squad.

Is anyone else getting just a little bit nervous, by the continuing delays is the deal getting done, which COULD mean we miss the Premier League and UEFA deadlines. I believe they are respectively 31st May and 9th June. Overnight the reports are that the deal will be formally approved by UK Government today, Tuesday (I thought that they had done this fu**ing weeks ago) BUT now we have to get the approval of the Potuguese Government as RA has a Portugal passport. What about Israel,  he has one of theirs I think, do we need their approval too ???

Getting really fed up with this - we need to hit the ground running in the transfer window, as other Clubs will be vying for the players that Tommy T wants.

But the skydome was the venue for Hogan vs Warrior, champion vs champion. Also my fav, the Hart Foundation beating the fake Russians in 19 seconds...so well worth it!

If we really have some knowledgeable ChelseA fans on board, They’ll of in formed Todd n Co about, from a fans collective who are the real underperformers, Luk, Werner, Puli, Ziyech, ship em out, we ain’t losing a thing, if our debt has been written off.

Get L Martínez in and turn him into Aguero Mk2, Along with Broja and Havz

Im sure a statement signing will be made, City and Haaland, well the potential is scary, Just drop 3/5 Defensive build up..

Seems like other governments want to get their noses in the trough.
