Thought this was worth a thread. Looks like Petr Cech will be our new DOF essentially.

I like it. I think its also another hint that we may see Lampard become our manager this summer.

Welcome back big Pete!  I imagine he will take on the role that Emenalo had, or something similar.

On face value, this seems like a very good appointment ... intelligent, well-respected, known throughout the football world, elite performer, winner, etc etc

probably in charge of scouting and recruitment, would maybe be involved in negotiations along with marina.  Needed a new sporting director badly IMO

Seeing rumours that Maka is coming back as well. 

Great news. Gradually adding people like Dorgba and Joe Cole (who we have as ambassador and youth coach respectively), Cech, Super Frank, JT, Maka, Ashley Cole and Ballack can only be good for the club.

What’s not to love about the idea of Big Pete coming home? 

He’s always come across as an eloquent and intelligent guy off the pitch so any sort of backroom job seems like something he could excel at.

If they are all being brought back to play this is the best move Sarri has made.

I can't see Arsenal having Petr in goal for the EL Final now, can you imagine the salt if he was and we won......

Regardless I'm very happy that the club is bringing him back and hopefully he does really well in the role.
