Thanks for posting the breakdown of the Athletic article, MANoWAR. The point which stands out is only one of the six signings brought in were his choice. Looks like his preference was to buy in players with experience in the Premier League. Granovskaia clearly holds the power, if true, up to and including the continued attempts to rehabilitate Kepa.

Of course this is dependant on the article being accurate but it feels like Frank is taking the bullet for something which is at least partially her mess.

If Ben Chilwell is the only player that Lampard wanted, then this board has once again shown their absolute rubbish, embarrassing and disrespectful behavior against the manager when they just assume the manager would just accept players that he doesnt want at the first place. This happens to Mourinho, Conte, and now Lampard, this is just garbage. Stop letting non football people making decisions on football instead of professionals in football matters. Just because you are good at negotiating a good price, making good ad deals, doesnt make you good at running a football club, at least not on the pitch. We arent Arsenal nor Man Utd, we should focus on success on the pitch instead of the account book.

And f**king Tuchel? If Lampard can clash with these board members, Tuchel will throw pig head at them the second week he is hired, didnt they know they are horrible to work with?

If true Frank goes out on a good note, through to the 5th round of the cup and through to the knockout stages of the CL.

With hindsight nice that Mount was made captain vs Luton and that he played with a lot of Chelsea academy players and won.

Don't know enough about Tuchel to comment on him though do wonder how Silva will react

Are you for real? Have a look on Twitter and you’ll see thousands of the c**ts posting about how happy they are.

I don't have twitter. Its full of trolls and I wouldn't even take it seriously. Anyone can create an account and say they are a fan.

Many managers have to work under a DOF, and are usually successful.

If not we we end up having a transfer window like we did under Conte when we signed Drinkwater, Bakayoko etc.

need to be a good DOF, Marina is a good negotiator, good account book keeper, but not a football person.

Tuchel will clash with the board the second week he is hired. If Dortmund and PSG board can piss him off, our board will piss him off the second he walked in lol

I agree, but you’re asking where it is and I’m telling you it’s all over that site - apologies if it came over abrasive, emotions are high at the moment. When you consider a lot of these “fans” are on the back of every single official tweet by the club with their doctored pictures of Frank or their big red X across him and certain players faces. These things are 100% noticed - Kepa deactivated all his comments on his posts is a prime example. Our “fans” are toxic as f**k.

Wow, wasn’t expecting this. From that Athletic article, it sounds as if Frank has lost the dressing room and annoyed the bosses.

It’s really harsh but as Frank has said, he understands the rules. He’s lived through them as a player.

I like Tuchel as a person, seems quite cool looking. Don’t know enough about him as a manager though.

But surely those managers have an input with the DoF and sign players they want; not get a number who they didn’t ask for. Despite being a fantastic prospect the signing of Havertz never made sense at the time and still doesn’t now; maybe he’ll come good under a new boss but the balance of the squad is not right at the moment.

It's one thing to want to move Frank on.

But if you believe Thomas Tuchel is going to be here for the long haul, then you're delusional.

However long he is here for, I hope he brings some success just like 80% of our previous managers have done. This is how big clubs operate all over Europe. Barca and Madrid are no different. The board will give you funds and they expect you to compete at the highest level every year. That is the standard. The long term manager thing doesn't really work anymore, unless you are consistently meeting the minimum requirement at least as pep is doing at City.

You really think it's Marina who's scouting our targets?

She's a negotiator...

The only thing I’ll say is that Frank was in control of the dressing room and through whatever course of action, he has essentially lost it. We’ve seen it for 2 months now. They’re not working hard for him anymore. He has control of that and messed that up.

Even Thiago Silva fell out with Leonardo and he wouldn't say boo to a goose!

Frank Lampard is set to be sacked, as @Matt_Law_DT reported today. Chelsea board ‘furious’ and ‘disappointed’ for weeks. 🔵 #CFC #Lampard

If that Athletic article is correct it all seems sacking Frank was decided weeks ago. Frank giving the armband to Mount was a sign. He wanted to exit the club with a marker like that.

Reports say that the players were told to not come to the training today in the normal hours but later on, or something like that.

The board should have waited at least till we have played a few more games, we have just seen the change in the tactics where Lampard is using now Werner with another striker more centrally and Mount is deployed more deeper with Gilmour, Lampard could turn the season around still.

That was always going to be an issue with such a bloated squad.
