Kai Havertz

It’s not even how good the first touch was, awareness or positioning, it’s just the fact he’s not reading from the he script. Taking the game himself in the last desperate moments when the pressure is on, elite mentality. God, we’ve got a special player here and already in the history books regardless.

Now his elbow on the defender was really close on being a red card but I like the way he is starting to use his big frame. He is noticing he has a big advantage, he just needs to take it to full use.

I would really love him to start taking chances more in games. He has a potent shot he needs to use more. I hope he expresses more aggression in everything he does on the pitch.

superb finish today! He really is on top form and reminding me of prime berbatov

Hmm good shout. Kai is faster and Berbatov better in the air, otherwise quite similar.

Incredible skill for that finish. Also seems to be the embodiment of Chelsea seasonality - winter slump, then starts hitting form (and how in his case) as we head into spring. What do other observers of these phenomena say? @coco @axman2526

will he still be with us though come next season? 😬

I really do hope he is still playing for us next season.

Hard to tell this season on his "slump" as he was sick with covid and also injured during the winter.

If the new owners are asset strippers or we are in admin he will likely be one of the first to go as he is one of our most sellable players. Werner and Lukaku 2 of the last.

Just saw his press conference, good watch for anyone with a few minutes to spare. He speaks very well. Said paying for travel isnt an issue..the main priority is to play these games.

When asked if players would be willing to fund their own travel to avoid long bus journeys, forward Havertz added: "I would pay it, it's not a problem. That isn't a big deal.

"For us to come to the games is the most important thing. There are harder things in the world right now than if we have to take the bus or plane to an away game. I would pay, no problem.

"We are professionals and sometimes situations like this can happen. It's not easy for us, for the whole club and the fans. What we can do is to play good football and try to give the fans a smile in this situation."

I really like this kid.

absolute class on the pitch and off it.

Even the f word after the champions league was appropriate for the question asked and it's timing.

his movement and work rate are superb. Should have scored his main chance today but wasn’t his day.

get a proper striker alongside him and i could see a formidable partnership.
