December 14, 20196 yr I don't know, but to me it looks like things haven't quite gone our way ever since Frank started tinkering with the Kovacic-Jorginho duo. We were really playing some of our best football during that period. It feels like he's struggling to find the balance between Mount, Kante, Jorgniho, and Kovacic. Mount should have been removed earlier in the game for example, but he played 90 mins even though he wasn't really effective.

While we need to upgrade the first team and the squad, we've got more than enough quality to beat the likes of Bournemouth and West Ham at home. Frank is showing his inexperience as a manager here, earlier in the season we were struggling against top sides, now we can't beat the average ones. He got owned by Pellegrini and Howe who had worse players at their disposal but prepared their teams better. We've now lost four out of the last five, this is on him. After Jorginho got replaced, we lost it.

I agree. They were controlling games betweem them and had the opposition tire from running between the ball but it feels like Lampard has "forced" Kante into the team because of his quality but the sum of that move is that we have become much worse. Thought Kante had another bad, bad game today.

My grandma could have played for Ake and we wouldnt score. We are blunt in attack and too predictable. Lampard has been found out hope he has a plan B

There really isn't a single player on our team who can hold their head up after that performance. Jorginho was the best of a bad bunch in the first half but faded out of the game in the second. Pulisic and Mount were really awful and the subs did nothing. Not convinced Lampard got it right taking Willian off and leaving Mount on. As for the number of times we passed the ball straight to a Bournemouth player. I know it's nearly Xmas but f**k sake! Lampard's ideas about the transfer window may well be changing. Terrible game, this is on Lampard. Bad selection, and bad subs. Emerson was not combining with Pulisic, he got exactly 1 pass to PUlisic in almost 40 minutes. Why are they on the same flank? Emerson offered nothing. I know you all love Mount, but sorry; Mount does not have the vision, creativity, nor 'unselfishness' to play the central attacking midfield role. The only thing that Mount does when he has the ball is look for a shot. That's NOT what you need from the central attacking creator. That's poor selection from Lampard to put Mount in that role. I am convinced that Kante or Kovacic play this role better than Mount. Emerson and Mount should have been the players subbed. This team is regressing. Lampard has to change fast.
December 14, 20196 yr Mount should have been subbed but played the full 90min. I hope Lampard isn't blinded because of his Derby season with him.
December 14, 20196 yr Very poor all around, never had enough urgency in our play. We really ran out of ideas and never looked like scoring. Tammy for a big lad isn't very good in the air and still lacks physicality to upset a defence that is set in place. The less about our defending the better, comical.

Strength, power, crossing, defending and attacking set pieces, pace, tempo, determination, never say die attitude. It's all gone. We have taken our eye off the ball and allowed the squad to become medicore, and this was before the transfer ban was handed out. Let's hope we bring in some real quality, I think we need about 4 signings though.

I thought Kante looked awful today too. Pulisic, while not his best game, did not have as bad of a performance as some people have been saying he did.
December 14, 20196 yr We had at least 4 winnable games and we dropped the ball. The team needs a shake up. What happened to youth and desire?
December 14, 20196 yr I really don't know what's happening, what's the problem and why are we playing like this? ?

Out of interest who would you bring in? The only real changes recently have been rotational but there aren't obvious choices sitting in reserve.
December 14, 20196 yr Pusilic was clearly very leggy.. we didn’t create enough.. Tammy could also not hold the ball up well enough.. extremely poor set pieces.. mount did nothing of note.. Tactically Jorginho should have played the quarterback .. too expect zouma and rudi to play so many cross balls is madness.. Kante .. no idea what he was doing.. we really need a forward who scores goals.. Willian needs to replace mount and play centrally.. with Pedro on the wing or CHO.. on the right.. this was a painful watch.. Bournemouth looked very comfortable..
December 14, 20196 yr What's worrying is that 3 of our recent defeats have been against West Ham, Everton & Bournemouth. 3 teams who are in wretched form.
December 14, 20196 yr Truly shocking performance. Couldn’t play even the most simple pass. We did not look threatening in the slightest and Bournemouth showed more hunger and more desire. That performance was totally unacceptable. From everything looking rosy early in the season we have now really hit our usual mid-winter slump. We need to get out of this fast.

Maybe the transfer ban, will give lamps some leeway, but results need to pick up against teams like Bournemouth and west ham. Thats not me calling for lampard's head, that is just the nature of the beast, relegation form since the international break, if it continues, then the manager pays the price.
