October 20, 20205 yr Clean Sheet A draw was a fair result, we maybe were a little too passive We lack physicality in the centre of the pitch Our illustrious attacking players didn't really turn up and maybe CHO would have been a better sub than Ziyech who looks yards off the pace at present With the other result in the group ending as a draw, our result is good enough
October 20, 20205 yr Only caught the last two minutes ? See we had more shots on target yet less possession. We got three yellows. Sometimes a draw at home is ok especially if away the other team have to come out to play. We won't know for a while yet that sets us up nicely for Utd.
October 20, 20205 yr Thiago Silva has been amazing. He looks so much better than all our other CBs. The difference between him and Zouma was huge today. Mendy had a good game too. Mount starting on the left wing again seems very strange to me. Mount should get a rest against United and then be played in midfield IMO.
October 20, 20205 yr Not sure we are progressing or regressing as a team, I just want the successful happy days please. Please Chelsea sort this out and give us good football and results!!

Think it is clear how important Mendy and Silva are going to be for us. A clean sheet and that's despite Zouma's best efforts to give them a few chances! That would be a dream come through if we could beat Man U, but after the spanking they got they will be out for blood. To be fair Mendy didn’t really get tested for anybody to make an assessment.

This is why I hate to say that lamps needs to start getting the results. Or he might be walking . the players we have upfront are more than good enough to beat many top European teams

October 20, 20205 yr Look. Sevilla is a quality side and there’s no (or much diminished) home advantage so to speak. They were the only team really as we look so disjointed. But it’s great we didn’t concede. Clearly been working on organisation perhaps to the detriment of the attack. Lampard has plenty of leeway to get this team working so hold off on being too critical for now. My main gripe is why Kovacic isn’t starting. He was a bit out of sorts at the beginning of the season but no longer. Keeps possession so well, put in some good tackles, great pass for Werner after a trademark run. Play him a bit more and there’s an assist coming very soon. He should be the first midfielder on the team sheet.

A big problem this season is going to be Thiago Silva missing games, I wish he would pack in international football.

Apparently these opinions are deemed "politics" and not wanted on this platform by some headmasters!!
October 20, 20205 yr Disappointing considering the talent in the pitch but players coming back from injury. Lack of time together. Tired after internationals and no preseason. It was perhaps naive to expect fireworks but we have a solid back line in this setup, the attacking play will come, when those front 4 are doing what we know they can do all in synergy it will be a serious threat. Crap game but moving in the right direction

October 20, 20205 yr At least after this game we can say that we can compete with the best teams out there, we're not the better team but we can compete. Yes Sevilla is one of the best teams, they took Bayern to extra time not that long ago.
October 20, 20205 yr Iam happy as pig in muck due to the big fcuk OFF *** N I L *** that follows seville ***0***,think iam punch drunk . please Frank throw kepa under a bus or off a cliff and NEVER play him again .

Think it is clear how important Mendy and Silva are going to be for us. A clean sheet and that's despite Zouma's best efforts to give them a few chances! I worry for Silva over a full season, especially a season like this one where so many games are going to be played in a short space of time. He's still world class, but you can see him struggling to recover quickly after straining to win the ball. At his age, it's only natural, and if he was to play every game, I think it would be inevitable that he would pick up a few injuries. He won't be able to play every game, which means one of the others will have to fill in. The problem is that I don't trust any of them to go a single game without making a ridiculous error that concedes a goal. None of them can seem to go a full 90 minutes without doing it.

October 20, 20205 yr Utd beating PSG after Newcastle might work in our favour, psychologically they might underestimate us.
