Is Billy going to score goals...nope...not one midfielder we have is capable of scoring from open play other than maybe Mount if he's not on the wing.  This has been our biggest miss for at least 2/3 seasons..no goals from the midfield which is what we need most right now especially with our forwards out of sorts.

When was the last time Mount scored a goal? I can't even remember. I just want something different there, right now the three players I mentioned aren't contributing enough towards our attacking play, too many sideways passing and relying on crosses.

They have the best squad in the prem so 5 out is manageable & don’t think that will work in cfcs favor. 
based upon Frank’s tactics and recent results with other direct rivals he’ll focus on being tight at the back at the expense of the attack with no surprises like wee Billy starting. Can’t see Zyech starting which is a shame as he seemed to bring the X factor (playmaker talisman what ever you wanna call that type of player - Hazard, Fab etc) that is sorely missing from the starting 11 recently. So the score will likely be a bore draw either 0-0 or 1-1. Not what is required by most fans on here but a realistic outcome nonetheless. 

Maybe we see Ziyech coming off the bench?

Must admit I'm fed up with Jorghino supposedly dictating the rhythm of the game by passing sideways to the nearest player.

I really don’t get the pulisic love in . It’s no coincidence that our form has been horrific since he came back in . Drop ASAP and stop appeasing the American tv audience .

Agree we need something different...but there is no-one on the bench, no-one that I can think of in the U23's and the only one that could have been a makeshift was Barkley ..and that's pretty slim pickings from where I'm sitting.  I'm just trying to get my head around what Gilmour offers in an attacking / creativity sense that we haven't already seen?

I was just about to fume there and call our goalkeeper an irresponsible bastard, turns out it was the other Mendy.

If it is because of parties then these w**kers should forfeit the match. Other clubs have had to field teams when players or managers have had covid but there seems to a different rule for City?

Also, Scottish FA banned players for covid breaches so why doesn’t ours? This season is becoming a total joke. Bad enough already without fans but now with these cancellations and certain clubs are taking the piss.

Stay off the boards when the performances are crap like in last two. We are missing guile and power in midfield, our play is predictable. Get someone down the wing and put a cross in. 
 

maybe time to try Werner as no 9. I’d play kova. He has more go forward when he’s on song. 

Said before Arsenal that it felt like a season defining game.

This is the same, just even more so. We are in desperate need of a kickstart and a win is needed.

A loss really would be a disaster and would make Top 4 incredibly difficult.

I don’t care how many irresponsible city player’s tested positive for COVID as long as they recover fully and healthy and no one gets seriously ill or dies let the youth play. COVID idiots need to be dealt with especially multi millionaires who think they are above the law I really do hope the FA but some serious sanctions on the players not by banning them but by hitting their pockets and donating the money to the NHS.

Mount got the first after half time when we were 3-0 down to Southampton.

It would be good to see him back on the scoresheet especially after this break.
