Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*

Azpilicueta is looking to leave as well. Tuchel said maybe it is an end of a cycle. I feel he wouldn't have said that if there wasn't real fear he is leaving....

Leaving:

Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso, Azpilicueta

We are left with:

Chalobah, Silva, Chilwell, James and Sarr

We could bring back:

Ampadu, Colwill and Emerson.

We absolutely have to buy at least 2 top players. Emerson is a good replacement for Alonso I think. James has no cover and we are seriously short on center.

Kounde is heavily linked. If we manage to get him minimum is a replacement for James. We would be still short and significantly worse in that dept than this current season. Remains to be seen how deep our pockets are and how willing the club is to splash cash. I would rather do what Liverpool does and buy if someone good is available.

Emerson as cover for Chillwell and potentially Perisic for Chilly B and James, I also see CHO as a perfect cover for James, he was actually pretty decent at wb before his injury.

To add to your list Juve want Jorginho as well, so he could be going.

I can't help but wonder if we are losing our whole backline then surely looking at who's left, our squad would suit a back 4 literally every single player aside from maybe Silva would look better with an additional forward/midfielder on the pitch to improve our attack.

Silva can play back-one if needed. I think he can handle back-4.

We will be quickly pining for Alonso's return if we get Emerson back. There's a reason the former quickly won his place back everytime the latter was giving a go.

If you play back 4 then Silva time with us is up. You then need to question how good chalobah in back 4. All in all, you probably need 2 cb.

That is one problem, next problem is imagine moving from

cb - cb - cb

To

Jorgi

cb - cb

Clearly that is a big drop off hence you need one dm preferably two with Kante injury situation.

Then you have problem of which of our fw will track opp fb especially against player like Robertson (willian/Pedro used to do this for us) and can our midfield help our fb defend wide area.

😂😂😂

Now suddenly we have a lot of questions in this team.

What give our current popular manager a season and then sack him for a new special one? 🤣

No I'm hoping Boehly and gang will have the same effect as Mourinho did and create a buzz around the club which will push us to new heights, no way should we consider getting rid of Tuchel...

Have to admit I am both intrigued and excited as to how the new owners run the club. Has been widely reported they impressed basically everyone by have true experts in each department of their bid.

Hopefully means good things.

I guess we need to think who we want to build the team around. No point making big defensive signings, just so Thiago Silva and Chalobah would be comfortable.

For me i, would build a team that gets the best from Mount and James, and i think both of them are more natural in a 433.

That would make Callum on the right a must for me.

Even for people who don't rate him that highly his chemistry with James is probably the most natural partnership I've seen supporting this club. You see it especially at the stadium, the pair have eyes in the back of their heads when it comes to eachother.

Dear me Axman I wouldn’t want you in the trenches with me. Every other post is one of despair. Stop being a surrender monkey! City and Liverpool are in the ascendancy at present…it won’t last forever, just like when other top teams were at the top.

Not to Charierre as I appreciate the humor this was said with, nor to the 2 who also got a laugh out of it.

To the ones that liked it though, how about you go put me on ignore? Or better yet go Appeal to @Mod or @coco to ban me?

:shok: First I have to cope with @Gol15 contemplating never to post again, now @axman2526 is not at all taking my feelings into consideration. What is wrong with you guys! I've already lost Yorkley, I can take no more losses!

Plus Ax, I'm your padawan, you'll want to see me win the prediction league

No worries on @Gol15 Val, thankfully he did not follow through on that he would be missed.

Yeah still a shame about Yorkley, he flipped his lid one too many times in the end.

No worries on me, will only happen if @coco keeps on down the road of believing I "smell like a scouser" maybe the passive aggressive bunch could convince him on that.

I am looking forward to amazing prize @Zeta buys for you when you win the league. I also want to finish ahead of Munk, how very Spursy of me...

Don’t take it heart mate. I’m pretty sure, people enjoy reading your posts, even if some appear overly negative. A lot of fans by nature fall into two categories, pessimistic and over optimistic. Truth is we all love the game, see differing aspects of it, that’s what makes forums so interesting. A lot of theses conversations took place in the pubs after the match. Long May it continue.

Hey @Dean the match commentators tonight, on DaZn anyways, agreed they thought Roman would be sacking TT for losing two finals and our PL season collapse.

We will never know but I agree with them, not helped by our insipid and boring football style.

I think people overestimate Roman's ruthlessness, over the last 6-7 years he got a lot more lenient (at least compared to sacking Ancelotti for finsihing 2nd). Sarri was going to be kept on before Juve came in , and he gave Mourinho every chance till we were literally in a relegation fight

Maybe but Roman does hate to lose.

It has been a slightly disappointing season. Filled with turmoil almost every month but we secured top 4.

Sucks that we lost 2 trophies to Pool.

See you guys next season! Keep the blue flag flying high!

Up the Chels!

TT has labeled it a Miracle that we finished third with our "Van Dijk" Kante being fit for only 40% of our games.

Makes it sound like we are a one man team. Well got to place the blame somewhere right?

If Tuchel stays, he needs to rip the blueprints and start back from scratch. We're in great position for a rebuild anyway.

We still have CL football, the owner situation is over and done with and we're in position to have a massive clearout with our defence that was the key reason we're stuck with 3 at the back.

It'll probably take us 3 years before we can realistically challenge for the title again. The current cycle for this team is over

Overall, I think Tuchel has done a good job. He was unfortunate to miss out on both domestic cups.  However, I think our style of play needs to improve a bit. We look so toothless in so many games, and though we create chances, I don't think we create enough. I know we miss a lot of chances, but so do all other teams. The difference between us and the title challengers is they create more to compensate for the misses. When I checked stats, we are actually 4th for big chances missed (behind City, Pool and Spuds), so the bottom-line is, we need to create more.

Hopefully the defensive clear-out will allow us to change shape and maybe add a more creative midfielder
