Poor from City. Interesting to see if it’s just a slow start or something deeper. They started slow last year and came on strong from October time. One defeat won’t hurt them

Spurs did look like Wolves. They looked aggressive. It will be interesting to see how they get on this season.

Also, the players need to get with the programme with the fans back. They’ve gotten used to life without them.

They lack a proper striker and a prime Fernandinho

Memphis Depay and Garcia registered to play for Barcelona after Pique takes a pay cut. Aguero still can't be registered until they sell somebody or a few other players take a pay cut 😆

Biscuits and Alba are apparently not interested in taking a paycut, and Alba was booed by the fans when his name was announced.

Some clownery going on right there. I'm thankful Roman is there for us to stop sh*te like that from happening

Didn't watch it though pleased for Nuno and not too surprised as for me he was a counter-attacking manager at Wolves.

It will be interesting to see how Pep's team react with new boy Jack.

Also no Kane, another minor drama to play out, he might not get a game until Spurs go behind, still that might not too far away.

The way the club handles the financial side certainly feels a lot safer than at other clubs, like our wage structure and money generated through player sales. So often rival fans say we just throw money all over the place and "ruined football" but we are actually doing things the right way. Even now after FFP rules have been relaxed, we aren't going out and throwing money around like crazy.

Nuno did a Jose on Pep, again. Regardless how good the build up is, need a striker to finish chances off, could see City struggle this season if they dont sort that out before the window closes. They didn't need Grealish, it's more of a statement signing than anything, since they knew signing Kane be almost impossible.

Saw the match - very similar to the UCL Final. Force them wide and defend crosses. dont thank Jack Grealish is the answer for city. I have never understood the hype around him.

I think more than anything city needs a good DM who is more mobile than the options they have. They conceded goals like we generally do.

so this year we just get the ruling, not the actual check? wtf? more room for controversal decisions? we sure will benefit from VAR this season, aren't we :huh2:

I read that they were not showing the actual check but only the result on both tv and in the stadium but I interpreted it as they’d show the final picture with the lines not just ‘penalty’ or ‘no penalty’ etc.

This leaves the whole thing open to be abused now without repercussions for the officials (not that there every are any).

hahaha, so instead of improving VAR's usage they just removed the ability of the public to see the officials making mistakes?

Touche.

they didn't show any offside lines.

in the case of the pen, you can see in the video bellow there were no multiple slowmotion camera angle replays for the audience. and I think it was a f**king dive.

Arsenal set to sign Ramsdale for an initial £24m rising to £30m and agreeing a deal to make Odegaard's loan from Real Madrid permenant for £30m.

Takes their summer spending to about £130m which makes them the current highest spending club.

Joe Wilock their only sale so far for £25m.

Looks like Arteta is being back but to me it just looks like they're giving him enough rope to hang himself with. I don't think any other club hoping to finish in the top 4 will be looking on enviously at any of the signings that they've made.

Don't see why players should take pay cuts because the business is run poorly. Fans should be booing the board, not the players. I certainly wouldn't take a pay cut at my work so they could hire more staff.

Arsenal are making same mistake we’ve made in the past. Spending a fortune on europa league calibre players.

I only watch gini replacement section and I like klopp explanation. Fans want their player to do this or that but this days it is all about role. if you want your midfield to score you need your attacker/fb to be more conservative.
