Conor Gallagher

Featured Replies

By the way, if you're reading Connor Gallagher, Cheers for the tenner last night - 2 sovs on him to score any time.

Was even more delighted with the 15:1 on 3:1 I placed.... Happy days, happy fan, that was a massive 3 points by the way.

Where does Nkunku fit in if Gallagher is going to be starting as our most advanced midfielder? He's our most talented player but Gallagher is filling his best position so we either put him up front which is a waste of his best attributes and next season when we do (hopefully) sign a new striker he wouldn't play there anyway. Left wing maybe?

Nothing really change with Nkunku position. Left wing narrow which is the plan all along.

Per BBC Gossip Spuds are in for him again, a dynamic on the front foot attacking manager wants Conor, how can that be as lots of posters on here say he's 2 bob and not good enough for Chelsea FC a now mid table outfit for the foreseeable future. When I first started running around The Shed most of the squad were either home grown/from the UK, most not that talented but appreciated by the Football Club and fans alike, was Proper.

Tottenham will move for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher this summer if the 24-year-old England midfielder fails to agree an extension to his contract, which expires at the end of next season. (Telegraph - subscription required)

BBC's Gossip is about the least reliable source, a compilation of click-bait stuff. They listed Enzo wanting out of Chelsea.

Are you sure about this? I don’t think Poch got this memo, he has been reluctant to play him at LW because of his lack of defensive awareness.

It is so clear that the club don’t rate him. Look how differently they have treated James and Colwill. Instant long term contracts. They are clearly looking to cash in on Conor unfortunately

If I were him I would call their bluff, see out my contract and walk on a free in 2025. They are counting on Spurs returning in the summer with a £50m+ offer in the summer but he really doesn’t have to go as Poch trusts him. As long as Poch is manager he is going to start him as a “10”, and unless he is instructed to send him to the reserves he will keep playing him.

Flipside though is I think he is ruining their plans and I am not sure the manager and the Sporting Director are working from the same playbook. I feel the idea was to sell him last summer, give Chuks more play time this season with the hope of selling him next summer. Problem though is he is preventing Chuks from seeing game time by staying, Nkunku their big money signing is also behind him in the pecking order because of the way the manager sets up.

Nkunku? It is not his defensive awarenes, it is his fitness that is more a problem.

Right up there for me as player of the season with Palmer.

Ive been entirely consistent in calling him one of our best players this season, defended him from the CFC hillbillies who are only happy moaning about how bad he is, we're now starting to see him move his game on a level.

He was absolutely sensational yesterday. Calvin Phillips struggles for form, Henderson doesnt have the legs anymore, this man should be a shoe in for the ending room of England. Brilliant player and without him, we dont chase from the front. No wonder sp*rs want him.

Would he improve united, Liverpool, city, spurs, villa... yes... absolutely. You build teams around characters like Connor not sell them.

Surprised no comments on Connor after what I thought was a superb midfield performance.

Commented in the match day thread how well he did.

Some of the fan base have been influence by our owners desire to flog him.

For me he's the player of the season so far. I imagine many would go for Palmer and he's a close second but Gallagher for me is even more important to us the way we play under Pochettino.

Shameful he's not even been offered a new contract yet though. Imagine the owners push two consecutive POTS's out the door and both of them happened to be club lads? They should probably have a really hard think about that tactic before they go through with it. And by probably I mean definitly.

Player of the season my ass. Once again he f**ked up any good chance that came his way and it ultimately cost us the win (alongside a few other sh*te finishes from these players). One time you can forgive, like Palmer's chance in the first half, but this is regular theme with Gallagher.

I don't know how anybody can honestly say to themselves that he has the football ability we need in an attacking midfielder. Does anybody even watch football outside of Chelsea? do you not see the quality out there that is missing from Gallagher's game? We need somebody that can pass, score, read the game.

He's not as bad as our wingers though like Madueke and Mudryk, but Gallagher will never be part of the solution, he's part of the problem.

Pretty sure he will be sold in the summer to raise funds for FFP. But I highly doubt that will solve the issues in our midfield.

By far our best player. Also missed out best chances. So f**k knows how I feel....

There's 15 or so players in the squad we need to move on this summer before Gallagher.

But clubs won't touch our dross they'll be like vultures picking away at the few useful players we have.  I expect at least 2 of Connor/Reece/Nkunku/Enzo/ Palmer to go because clubs will take advantage of our FFP issues.

The deadwood won't be as easily shifted.

Gallagher doesn’t really deserve to be criticised, he’s not as talented as some players in the squad but he certainly gives absolutely everything and more, and that’s all I can ask for.

I just don’t like how Poch made him absolutely crucial to our team, to the point when he comes off, the whole team just shuts down. That’s bad management.

Surely you try to find a system that works best for the whole squad rather than relying on certain players to make it work.
