Gallagher is a decent squad player who will always give 100% and will contribute to the goal tally. More than happy to have him.

Listen, our academy is a competition on its own, they have their own competition and if any player is qualified enough to be in the Chelsea squad, he comes in. It doesn't mean just because you are from the academy, you must be in the Chelsea squad. 

Look at our rivals today, they are not joking with their teams, any average player cannot have a chance in those teams. In the days of Drogba and Lampard, we could afford to have average players in the team because the Premier league was not that competitive at that time, but now the competition is very high.

The competition is so high now. We need to learn from last season, we finished 12th in the league last season.

Probably just the same story being repeated, however our two new arrivals from France for a combined 61mill has seen the links to the Sales of Gallagher and Chalobah to cover the cost of these deals with a little left over.

Said we are expecting to get around 70mill for the pair, and is the ownership and directors pushing this.

Thought Gallagher again did well when he came on last night. Bloke has so much energy. One minute he is up on the edge of opposition box, then he is back blocking shots on our own goal. During this tournament, he made a number of really important blocks that you would think defenders should be making. HAS to stay.

Gallagher was very good in that broken second half. He looked very comfortable in tiny spaces. I don't see him being a number 6 but he did very well. We should be glad we have him in the side albeit not having a perfect position for him. I would give him a go at 10 if our squad forms to support it. Mainly we manage to buy the experienced number 6.

I think he will make the cut as a squad player but I don't see him being a regular starter.

Probably going to be 4th choice in the pivot, and 3rd choice at central attacking midfield behind Nkunku and Carney.

Whether that is enough for Conor, we shall see ... 

I think Conor might settle for it. He sees Casadei/new guy and Santos as his competition. And he has the versatility to be on other positions as well. His family is all Chelsea fans as well.

Ideal player to bring on at the 60th minute against tired legs. Imagine you've been chasing the ball for 60 minutes then this Jack Russell comes on to chase down every opportunity, would be horrible.

Well no argument that Jack Russell was one of finest wicket keepers England ever had, but I'm not sure how he would do in a midfield pivot?
