He’s improving under Pochettino so much that I think that we’ve got a very solid, hard working, quality player in him. One of those players that are not going to stand out for their world class technique but that every team needs to fight the fight. He does want to stay and play for Chelsea and the coach rates him, why would the club sell him? Only reason I can think of is we need the money for FFP and Chalobahs move to Bayern has collapsed.

Could very well be, but I think that he stays because the owners must realise that Pochettino rates him to the point of playing him every game. And, he doesn’t seem to get injured, and we need some players to stay fit so that we can play. Edited August 31, 20232 yr by RMH

Gallagher played every minute since the competitive games have started, captained the team last night too. England international, knows the club really well, fantastic trainer. Hopefully he refuses it.

It should though, we are directly competing with them, and they would not sell to us if the shoe was on the other foot. Spurs price should be £70m+ Seriously f**k spurs, and f**k Levy. If it was Villa or Everton, I'd be disappointed at this stage given his start, but we are strengthening a massive rival. Spurs look good this season too, not that much of a stretch to say Gallagher going there could be the difference between us and them for the last Champions League spot. I'm hoping it breaks down at some point. Would rather lose him for less money in January to someone else. Seriously f**king Tottenham.🤦♂️😂

My point was that Poch plainly obviously wants him around. There's also a world-wide shortage of asterisks. Go easy.
August 31, 20232 yr I think the Board are desperate to recoup some money from player sales. We’re not having any luck disposing of Cucurella or Chalobah. So the next saleable figures in line appear to be Gallagher and Maatsen. Players are just pound signs to this Board. I can’t see Pochettino kicking up a fuss if he’s told we need to sell Gallagher to balance the books. What’s he going to do? Go on strike?

No one should be shocked by this, happened all the time under Roman

I love the tribalism in football, it's what makes it the best sport on earth. 😂 It wont happen though, just journeys ramping up deadline day interest.
August 31, 20232 yr Thing is, we’re signing all of these random kids who I bet won’t make the first team. It’s just shiny new toys. Trev and Conor are worth their place in the squad. They’re good enough to be at Chelsea. Really hope we don’t sell Conor. There’s no need to. And especially not to Spurs.

Man United Arsenal Liverpool Those are the teams we have been tussling with for nearly 2 decades now. The club won't see spurs as a club we cannot deal with for the same reasons as fans, just doesn't happen.

That's why theres has only been 4 deals in 30 years, 2 for back up goalkeepers, and 1 youth player who was running out of contract in 6 months. Poyet is the only real transfer. Spurs are our main rivals, not always in a sporting sense although this year definitely.
September 1, 20232 yr Shouldn't even sell him in general let alone sell him to Spurs. Can't understand the thinking of selling Conor and signing Palmer and selling Trev and signing Disasi. Has to be purely for FFP profit reasons, If you would have told me we were selling Conor, Trev and Mount and brought in Disasi, Lavia and Disasi for similar mount I would have laughed at you. No disrespect to those players as they could be good but you sell your talent to buy first team quality players not nearly men.
September 1, 20232 yr Don’t you dare to sell him after you made him captain on Wednesday Edited September 1, 20232 yr by azpi28

Next season? Who knows. IF Gallagher were to leave. Italia would be a good choice. Our former players do well there. Sticking point being they only offer about 20 quid and a packet of hob nobs for players they're so broke.

September 1, 20232 yr We all know Gallagher is not the best option for us in terms of his profile. He is a goal scoring number 8, good at pressing and recovering but we simply don't have a natural spot for him. On the ball he is not as good as we would need him to be. I actually think he would outscore Enzo but the other sides of his football are much more limited. If we need money he is the one we can cash in on. He is on demand. If we hold on to him he Will do a job for us. I think that eventually we will sell him. Maybe next summer or even January.
