Only played half he game and hasn’t had a great deal of touches, but Lukaku deserves MOTM. CHO also gets an honorable mention.

I wonder if we’ll keep this formation going into the next match. It seemed to work well, especially when Kante was on.

Absolutely huge win. We weren't convincing for the whole 90 mins and gave Villa the chance to make a few good runs in and around our box but we outscored the opposition and that's what matters the most. Hopefully, this win boosts the team morale heading into the new year.

Well deserved win, if only we were clinical then it would've been a big confidence booster. But Lukaku can take a lot of confidence from that performance

Good second half through we still go through periods in a game when we let the opposition come to us and we don’t look comfortable defending. But overall this is a huge three points win. Hopefully we show an improvement next game against Brighton before we play Liverpool.

A win at last. Looked a bit better in the second half and showed enough that we can still hold off the teams that have gained on us recently. A bit laughable to think we’re title wining stuff though.

He understands Lukaku well which should give us hope that it all works out. Sadly CHO missed that, Mount also missed so both Jorginho and Kovacic could have had an assist.

It does look like we have played by now all of the "tough on paper" away games with only two Manchester clubs left away in the second half of the season.  We played away Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham, Leicester,Aston Villa and Wolves. 

Lukaku made all the difference. Villa basically had no chance in the second half.

Romelu falling into the racist pundit trap of referring to his pace and strength rather than intelligence or technical quality.

That said, if he ever does become a Premier League manager, his command of the cliché will serve him marvellously in press conferences. He rattled off five or six effortlessly there; if his mastery translates into the other nine or ten languages he speaks he can be the next international superstar.

Managing his minutes, I would guess 

Credit where it's due, Lukaku won the game for us. CHO deserves a mention, won a penalty and made an assist for the second goal.

James, on the other hand, was very poor, and has been for a few games now.

TT was seething there.. no consistency in how the games to be postponed are decided.. epl administration is completely unprofessional and bonkers agree with him. Looks like this victory cost us 3 players.

Also why did t the villa man get sent off? 

Villa weren’t bad. That was a hard earned and important win. Still a lot of players carrying g injuries and losing Silva, always likely at some point, puts the injury pressure back on. Kante still looks suspect. Still we will get Werner and that Covid idiot Havertz back soon. The teams that get games postponed now will pay for it later in season when that are playing catch-up on points and fixture congestion.  Think it’s just a matter of knuckling down now and hoping city and Liverpool slip up. Liverpool will likely fall away during African Cup   

Tuchel now has to let RL off the leash...he was an absolute beast for the run which led to the second penalty...two home games now against Brighton and Bin Dippers...min of 4 points from those games...

1. God we have missed a player that defenders have to worry about. What a difference it makes. Until he came on it was looking like yet another day where we wouldn't score from open play and could easily have dropped more points.

2. How we crumble when Kante goes off. I know Tuchel is looking to manage his time but I felt 60th minute was too early especially as it was the third and final change.

I think his knee still has issues. I believe they cut TT’s interview off when he went into a rant but clearly they are playing with players lives while the epl managers get rich sitting in their homes.
