I like Gordon from that I have seen from him but still very raw. Would be a very odd but not surprising move for us to make. Let him finish the season at Everton before even considering a bid. Not what we need right now. Bizarre if true and taking with a pinch of salt.

Im assuming this is Pulisic/Zyech's replacement depending on whichever one leaves?

I thought he looked aggressive, and one of Everton's best players against us, but it's still a weird one if we really have bid for him?! 

I know we may need a 'proper' forward as Havertz isn't gonna score many for us, but not really the sort of player I thought we would be pursuing. 

An article I saw this morning on the Daily Mail website (I know ... LOL) says we are looking at Gordon to provide competition for James at right wing back 🙂 

Gordon is the weirdest transfer rumour I have heard in a long time. I have to say Todd is working in a very different way. We have bought the best young talent in the country. The age profile of them is the most surprising aspect of it. Many of them are very close to being able to help the first team. Chukwuemeka and now Gordon can both play in the Premier Leag already. Probably not at our level but in a midtable side like Manchester United is aspiring to be. 

Anyway for many ways I don't see him being a right fit to us.

I watched the highlights video on Youtube and all I could see was someone with no end product who probably lost the ball immediately after many of the clips in the video.

Sounds like he’d be exactly the same as all the forwards we already have. What is our obsession with players with no end product?

Read we haven’t bid for Gordon,thank god he's not a player good enough for us.

If we buy him it is basically saying bye bye to Ruben. Those two are really similar. The other we already own.

Why are we getting rid of most or all our players who won us the CL? Some yes but not most of them? What's wrong with TT? However bad those players are they have a winning mentality which counts a lot

 i really like him a lot but can understand the hesitance as he has no endproduct really

but he has a lot of pace, is very technical, has a really good delivery and cross (and if you watch the video gets robbed of a couple of assists by missed chances) & is a very hard worker who will fit perfectly in our high pressing system.

just for some perspective and because we are always comparing our transfer business to Liverpool: Diogo Jota only had 16 goals from 67 in the PL and 6 assists before Liverpool bought him. and he is 3 years older. I know those are still better than the 4 goals Gordon has but he has been playing for a better and more offensive team.

I don't think it'll be a good signing really. Not what we need. But if the club are set on it, get rid of some other players while we're at it.

Really good prospect, fantastic work rate, speed, energy, and crossing. He could explode in the next 12-24 months. 

Still not sure he is what we need though, he wont get the game time to develop here, and we dont even use the wingers we have now. 

We need an inside forward, or a versatile attacker.

Makes sense that it's considered. A pacy no endproduct winger is suitable to be converted into a WB

couldn't we offer them a lower fee and loan him back to them? Like 30 million with a 2 year loan or a 1 year loan + one player of ours we don't need

My guess is that if this rumour is true that Todd is just scooping up all the young prospects so we don't spend so much in future windows.  While we don't think he's good enough right now, what will he be after a season under TT?   Again if true one can only assume that it's TT making the request or he was on the extended list of players to go after.
