My theory that Boehly is trying to burn through the mandated squad Investment capital stipulated by Roman as quickly as possible still stands. There is no way we won’t look back at this summer’s spending in the next couple of years when he inevitably turns off the tap, and wonder why we didn’t make smarter moves in the market.

Personally I think he made great buys so far and Cucurella probably the best of them. But I'm probably wrong, I mostly am.

They are not just fullback options are they? Cucurella covers LCB and Gordon RF/RW as well. And both are talented. I would also point out the James and Chilly play the most important positions in the system. Otherwise it would be like having Drogba upfront (with an injury history) and your back up striker is Batshuayi. Your title challenge is on a knife edge. 

Decent theory but I'll go with the more plausible - he is driven by success and knows we need to get the squad to a level before we can make smarter, more calculated moves. Hence, they are taking their time with Fofana because they've already covered the loss of Rudiger and Christensen somewhat with K2 and Cucurella.

Hope this transfer doesn't go through, 4 goals in 60 games is abysmal for an attacker. The price being floated about is just bizarre too.

I don't think any of these will end up in moves. De Jong and Aubameyang have no intention of moving, it is just posturing, we won't get Fofana and as average as Gordon appears, he is probably their most industrious player so i can't see him leaving either. Not for our bench anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if footballers have their own version of ‘rate our dinner’. Instead of dinner, it’s bench. 
 

They’ll take pictures and rate it, our bench must be really highly rated, maybe it comes with air conditioning and heating? Maybe even back massaging seats?

Lamps taking the same platform as BR. Saying Flash is an important player to them and their future, not for sale etc.

Great buys all exactly what we need. The more pertinent question is have we overpaid? All deals that have been finalised are at exactly the reported initial sale price…which begs the question why spend four weeks haggling?

Based on his showing v Forest today, No way is he a £50m player. I would struggle to justify paying £25m, & I reckon if he was Chelsea youth product he will be in the U21s.
