Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager

Featured Replies

Anybody that thinks Potter still has a chance is deluding themselves.

There hasn't been a single improvement from us since the day he arrived. He's well out of his depth, should never have gotten the job and the new owners clearly don't know what they are doing if this was the coach they identified as the one to take us forward. They stick by him and we will get dragged into a relegation fight by the end of the season, no doubt about that now. It's bad enough not creating chances against teams around us or in the top ten, but to lose against the worst team in the league, at home and not even test the keeper again......just how much worse can we be?

The owners sabotaged a squad that wasn't as awful as they were making it out to be and put a bang average coach in charge. One of the biggest f**k ups I have ever seen at this level. If they don't swallow their pride and fix this, then we are in big trouble.

I fear what will happen against Tottenham next week

I will be behind the sofa with a blanket over my head. Potter makes it really hard to maintain my opinion that he should get til the end of the season. Please god, end the season.

Potter is destroying all our brilliant promising future stars of football. All our new recruitments are playing worse and worse in every game they are lead by Potter.
Get rid of him rather yesterday than now.

A huge step back, and following on from only the smallest of steps forward in recent weeks.

Ultimately this season has been a disaster because of the hubris of the ownership.

They so obviously and clearly don't have a clue about football. And to think they sacked everyone who does all at once.

Potter was dealt a 7 and a 2 and has played them as badly as a food tourist in the wuhan wet markets.

How can you ever think that Potter was dealt one of the worst hands by coming to a top 4 team and with having over 300m further investment? He has pocket Kings and saw the flop, called every bet and then folded on the turn. It's all on him.

Potter... Hopeless. that was a 3 pointer, had to be. The transition probably needs to happen with another transition of manager. Nice guy, not going to cut it. I hope the club are looking at viable alternatives. I really can't see anyone wanting to come before the summer so I think we're stuck until then. exhales deep sigh...

But I thought we are entitled fans and that we should give Potter time? Just mere hours ago in fact

This team? 3 of the starting 4 forward players are different than Tuchel's and Lamp's.

That's what I mean, i'm not talking about individual players.

It's been like this for 4 seasons now, even when we had Tammy Abraham up front, we can't finish chances. Look at the Dortmund game, probably the best we've played under Potter in a very long time and we couldn't finish a single chance.

It's like there's something heavily ingrained in these players that makes them sh*t in front of goal, combine that with the injuries we've had here since then.

I don't think we can ever challenge for a title with the injury record we have for the past 4 seasons, especially with how sh*te they are in front of goal.

Nothing to lose? We have 2 wins in 15. 5 goals scored in 15. We are getting worse and worse. We are not too big to go down.

What have we got to lose ? you tell me if you know the answer ? I know its not popular to back him at the moment, but were still in the CL and he deserves to at least finish that tourney.

I have been of the opinion that it's unfair to judge Potter without a proper "9" in the squad, but the fact that NO ONE can score is beginning to move the needle of my opinion. We are creating chances and conceding few, which still has me primarily backing the manager. He cannot put the chances away himself.

Because we have nothing to lose by giving him that time. were not going to finish top 6 or bottom 6, but we look half decent on the continent, so lets see what happens.

We are 10 points off 17th I don’t see where the next win is coming from so don’t be so sure we won’t end up down there.

What if we let AVB manage after the second leg against Napoli?

You'll never know, you can assume.

So what, it wont hurt us if end up in a relegation battle, our fans are such whimps nowadays.

Anyone thinking Potter deserves until the end of the season just doesn't understand the sport. He isn't showing anything to suggest he's a manager that deserves or needs more time to implement something.  He's a manager that's already failed and everyone can see it

Players aren't Robots, we have so many young new signings trying to adjust to the league and Country, keeping the worst manager in the league for another couple of months makes that so much harder and may permanently damage the futures of Enzo, Mudryk and the rest of our young players here. The pressure is already mounting on them and they're facing unfair criticism.

Not to mention our best chance of winning the CL and avoiding relegation mean Potter has to go now.

Not one manager Roman ever sacked deserved sacking as much as Potter.

You can confidently say there's no way we would've come back from a 3-1 aggregate loss against that Napoli team at the time, AVB was running that team into the ground. Di Matteo worked miracles that season.

I think it's the perfect time for an experienced interim right now.

WHAT.THE.f**k

are you implying it is not a big deal if we get relegated? Spending 600m to get relegated would be the biggest laughingstock ever until the end of the universe and will doom our club forever

What kind of talk is that !!!

Mate listen to the atmosphere at home, its terrible, our fans at home deserve a relegation battle, maybe it will be the making of them as fans ?

I said Potter out a month ago and got ridiculed by a bunch of people, I just want to know if you guys are still Potter in now?

Ridiculed because we needed to see what happened.

I'm on the fence. I no longer think he's going to win us any titles, but I do think it might be better to let this team suffer until the end of the season.

I don't really know what the temp option is that would be better than just hammering home that Potter can't do this job and a new manager coming in fresh in May.

if 3 of the players are new, how can it be heavily ingrained in them?

Potter just doesn't know how to coach attacking football. Simple as
