So far it's around 1.75m in wages plus a sign on - maybe a couple of extra mill. We would have likely trebled his wages and given a hefty bonus for not signing a new contract with Brighton. So when you find out how much he's missed out on from not having this move then maybe you will call him a clown.
July 25, 20232 yr Out of topic but @RIP Mourinho had a point I initially disagreed with but am now having my mind changed. Just saw Caicedo's heat map against us, City, and Liverpool. Brighton were playing a progressive game and Caicedo's positioning was largely just above the defensive line, meaning he can be coached and be disciplined to stay back. He really is the perfect partner for Enzo.

Loan for Kalvin Phillips? Wilfred Ndidi? Somebody please come up with a better option. Valverde, Camivinga or Tchouameni at Real. Kimmich at Bayern. Kessie at Barca

Kessie at Barca Real Madrid are not going to be selling their most valuable young assets to fund Mbappe (who they know will be theirs in a year). Valverde already downplayed leaving and I'd expect Perez to have learned from the consequences of selling their only DM in favor of a shiny new attacker. Kimmich said he isn't leaving and it would've been a major red flag if Bayern were pushing for his sale. Kessie is a good player but only as a squad option.

July 25, 20232 yr I also think it's bloody lazy and inept of our scouting, analytical and development teams that they cannot identify a player of a similar profile for less money and have as a second or third back up option. When Caicedo feels he is our only choice the incentive to push Brighton for the move isn't there just as it is same for Brighton who feel our desperation is carte blanche for them to do as they please.

Possibly. But none of know The List, if there is any.

I thought we'd nicked half of Brighton's back room staff - surely they know who is next on Brighton's replacement list - so just go straight for them and cut out the middle man.
July 25, 20232 yr As the kids say, it's pure cope if people think Caicedo is worth the amount being asked for but we've backed ourselves into a corner by letting other targets slip out of our hands (Rice and Urgate).

July 25, 20232 yr 37 days of this tiresome saga to go unless Bully & Clearlake give Mr. Bloom what he's asking for which now I believe I'm correct in saying involves Levi Colwill backing up the Brinks truck to unload all that dosh and then not coming back to Cobham ever again but staying at the seaside instead with his pals Lamptey & Gilmour.

Hope not, think this week will see the end of it. Either we stump up or more on. Really hope it’s move on.

July 26, 20232 yr Romano quoting De Zerbi: ” De Zerbi on Caicedo deal: “There's no deadline [for resolving things]”. 🔵🇪🇨 “I'm happy if Moisés stays but we'll play without him as well. We have to be ready to find another midfielder if he leaves”. “He will play vs Brentford in 2nd half”.

July 26, 20232 yr 80 mil for him is already well above what we should be paying for him, we can't fold for over the top prices like we did last summer. Time to walk away and look for a cheaper option
July 26, 20232 yr We must get Caicedo, he is miles ahead of D rice who gost over 106M. 80M is a steal. Sell Connor for 50M, use that money towards the purchase for Moises. Win, win situation for Chelsea
