Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!

Best passer of the ball we have had since Fabregas. Maybe even better.

This s what I used to say about Messi, apparently demanded a pass anywhere, the tighter he’s marked the better he liked it, Enzo looks so assured, all that Training with the Yoda of Footie ain’t harmed him, I think he will be that  8-10, and he’ll score a few as well..

He's good, but he's nowhere near Fabregas level when it comes to passing. When he starts pulling out assists like Fabregas used to do, then we can start comparing.

His final ball isn't close to Cesc level. His switch of play is better and more consistent though imo. DIfferent types of passers.

Really impressive again today. Seems to have the same control of the game that Jorginho did but with more legs and desire to progress the ball forward.

Cesc comparisons might be a little premature but he’s certainly on his way to hogwarts…

@Niall1905Yeah even more control, better at protecting the ball, better range of passing, cleaner passing technique and so much more progressive and forward thinking. He is a lot worse than Jorginho defensively though. Jorginho for all his physical deficits was very good at reading the game defensively. Something that Enzo is lacking completely. Oh well I guess that's what we splashed 165 million on Caicedo and Lavia for 🤷‍♀️.

@Frankie8LampardWell if he keeps playing as far forward as today and keeps getting into good positions, then he should start chipping in with a few. Not saying it's his primary job, but his finishing has been pretty bad for us so far.

Needs to be a just a bit deeper, certainly switches play really well. He is crap in front of goal and that will limit his career

Yeah, I do feel he should be a bit more involved in the build-up phase myself. He wasn't at all involved in that area today so at times he was quite isolated further forward. With his quality on the ball it's a bit of a waste if he's not involved so we really should be looking to getting the ball to him as often as we can.

Hate how modern fans judge players based on stats. Carragher kept saying he's expecting more goals for Enzo, what does he think he is, a striker?

Modern fans will bring out useless stats to back a player though so it works out both ways. If you work hard enough you might even find stats to make Ziyech look good.

Absolute class player though - what a joy to watch.  Still unsure if his best position is advanced attacking mid, or just an advanced mid in the pivot closer to where he was second half against Liverpool.  If he is to play advanced attacking mid, almost the no.10, he'll need to chip in with some goals also!

😁😁😁

We have finally stopped living in cloud cuckoo land.

Enzo has been spectacular. Is it a surprise? Not really, if you have seen technical midfielder playing for top team this is what they do.

All of them will get the ball difficult situation and bail out their teammate. You could already see how much his teammate already trust Enzo last season.

He has it well in his locker, Check his Worldie against Mexico in WCF, seems to be snatching at chances, gets his First, and he’ll roll…

Hopefully. Kovacic scored a worldie v Liverpool. Never came close again.

But he scored a few at RM, You can see Enzo has the Tekkers.

Heres a thought Poch, get Lamps in for Shooting Drills, doesn’t get much better?

He’s had a lot of shots  since Xmas. Not one that I can recall has troubled the keeper. Not even his penalty attempt. His attempts from free kicks are to the point where I think someone else should take them. I reckon Jackson or Conor would get closer.

he’s a good player but let’s not good the Lily.

He has the number 8 now. You put on the Chelsea 8, you get compared to Lampards output lol.
