Al Nassr linked with a £73m bid. Could see them sign Madueke, sell Martinelli and use the money to fund a bid for Rodrygo. Some loose links with Ethan Nwaneri who i rate highly, but leaving Arsenal due to a lack of game for Chelsea will be weird.

I don’t mind selling him for the right price but it is annoying that we’ve spent the last two years developing him, watching terrible performances at the teams expense…only to sell him two years later.

Adding new signings, Noni slips below Estevao and Joao Pedro. Nkunku is looking interested again, and Gittens profile suggests either of these two could play ahead of Noni. Thats before Quenda and Paez are even considered.

I can see why we'd sell with a compelling offer. Noni hasn't progressed his end product. Still only 23, so maybe he matures into the winger we sometimes see, but won't get that playing time at Chelsea.

But he hasn't improved at all, he will always be rubbish at decision making

you rate him as less valuable than Gittens (who has never done it in the EPL) and Elanga at forest? If those are going for £50-£55m - then Noni, who has proven he can score and create - in a team that doesnt create much - must be at least £70m

Despite Noni’s best efforts we actually do create a good amount of chances.

And yes, he is less valuable than Gittens who looked good at CL level and is younger. Not sure how old Elanga is but he’s looked better than Noni in a worse team.

His best game was probably Madrid, worse Barcelona and he ranged from alright to good in the rest.

I could definitely see us selling him now, in the context of the punishments from UEFA. As long as the fee is fair, I won't be devastated, although I do appreciate his qualities.

We are rapidly approaching the point where 23 is deemed to be the prime not developing potential

Didn't want to see Noni go last season, I still think he's got potential to be a good player, but you have to prove it. Can't keep squandering chances like he has done.

But at the same time none of our attackers set the world on fire last season did they? Like the whole attack was just a significant downgrade from the season before.

Time will tell if this is a bad move on our part, we'll see how he does at Arsenal which is looking very likely.

This model we have now depends on selling players for profit and Noni is a perfect example. We signed him for around £30 million and despite what some think, he has developed. He’s now an England international. Neto and Estevao have higher ceilings though so get as much as we can for him and move on.

Neto higher ceiling? That is a new one. Isn’t he already 25yrs, been playing top level football since 19yrs, and probably close to his ceiling.

This whole narrative he is our best winger is funny; his best league season ever was 5yrs when he was 20yrs (5G + 6A). How he ended up here is actually strange because 2 seasons ago he went a whole season with Zero goals & Zero assists.

But the directors have so many players to sell in a short period of time they have to drop the prices. Its a pattern that repeats and we don't seem to learn.

No problem selling Noni, we've stockpiled enough winhers.

Big problem developing a player for two years and then selling him to a direct rival that will strengthen.

Haven't watched it again to be honest but from what I remember Gittens was easily the best player on the pitch until the manager self sabotaged and took him off, soon as their only real attacking threat went off they concede 5 goals.

He still has the same issues as Noni for sure with being selfish and decision making but from a technical perspective he is a better passer, has better shooting and is a better dribbler. Gittens is only 20 so I'm hoping there's still time to iron out things like decision making whereas with Noni I have a feeling what you see right now is what he is always going to be.

Nope.. Malen was their best player in my opinion. Terrorised Madrid’s LB Mendy who is normally defensively solid all game, and notched a goal and an assist for Gittens’ goal.

Game ended 5-2 Madrid for all it’s worth; my biggest concern is the space he gets to run into the CL & the Bundesliga won’t be there against 80% of the league. An 8G + 3A output in the Bundesliga doesn’t really scream PL game changer IMO.

My biggest issue is that our signings feel more like sidegrades rather than proper upgrades that will take us to a higher level.
