Stirring didn’t travel, although Wes did. so attackers havertz, Mudryk, mount, ziyexch, Felix   I suspect all will play in the game at some stage. 

Kovacic and Zakaria also travelled. 

Kova and mount have a lot of European experience now and kova has a lot of big game experience full stop  

it’s just hard to see a natural line up with width on the right without including ziyech and I don’t want to include him havertz could play there but then the centre  is empty. Felix isn’t a no 9 not even a false one. . Mount is better on the left but won’t probabably start in front of Mudryk, unless we are playing defensively. Yet Mudryk is a risk in terms of what he can deliver in a big game. Of Felix plays centrally notionally behind g[havertz then we are down to 2 pivots.

Dortmund have a reputation as being both a good footballing, and offensive, side. Unlike the "shut down and counter" tedium we have been unable to break down mostly from Fulham, West Ham, Palace etc.

Should make for a good game, goals, and a chance for either of the sides to progress.

First time in a long time I am looking forward to one of our games.

Cobham in general, has been pretty overrated for several years now anyway, rarely do you get a player that comes through thats first XI quality (James being the exception)

Why didn't Azpilicueta win it in 2013/14 ahead of Hazard? because attacking players are more often than not favoured ahead of defenders.

James is unanimously loved by Chelsea fans.

like I said, massively inflated stats against relegation battlers. The big chances created are mostly from set pieces as well lol

Nice try though, hes overrated and not good. Only reason he's even getting starts currently is because of our injuries in the squad. Technically nowhere near the level of someone like a Joao Felix

Should be a good game, for once we may just sit deep and play on the counter against an high pressing team.

Dave did the pre match presser wonder if that means he starts, and if he does I think could be in a back 3.

All I'll say is, this will be yet another formation amd lineup that Potter will try.

Huh? On paper we are 2x the side Dortmund is. Problem is that in reality we have no chemistry, bad coaching and constant injuries.

Quite interesting that Potter was questioned about Mudryk being upset that cucu didn't pass to him. And certainly that was very noticeable to me. Potter said "there was no problem" but the tone of voice was clear that Potter actually perceived there was a problem and was annoyed at having to talk about it in public. And clearly having Mudryk and Cucu fighting after two games is not a great outcome.

Potter also did a good job showing his anger without giving in to it. I must say it was very clever, but no substitute for the team actually scoring some goals and putting a performance we can be happy about . Yet I  would not underestimate Potter as a person.

So what if he was levels ahead of him, fact remains that Azpilicueta was much more consistent in that season. He wasn't just mr reliable, he was consistenly outstanding.

Hopefully we play back 5 with Chilwell as lwb with murdyk, kai, Felix up top. 

If we play the way we play against West Ham, there is no point of travelling to Dortmund. All Dortmund need to do is force the ball so it goes to Cucu, and press him and we are done.
