This makes me a sad panda…

….I do sometimes wonder if it is all worth it. I mean….if wacko gets a new contact and stays here, whats the point of carrying on? What is this world coming to? A very dark day in the nonotnowjim house.

I think we should all chip in and buy Jim a share from the pitch owners and ask them if Niko can hand deliver it to Jim's home.

Lol

He will be a star of the future I reckon, just hope it is for us.

He's done better than a legend or 2 at Chelsea when they first arrived. I have hope he will do really well as he develops.

We just need to continue that development and not fill his spot with 3 or 4 other players. Attack was the only area we didn't seem too bloated in but that changed in a single day and there's still reports linked to other forwards/attacking players that may still arrive at chels.

Enough is enough....

I know I go on about him a lot - but he really is the most brain dead, useless excuse of a football player e have had in the last 20 years.

He offers nothing and is a hinderance ....

Get him out of our team and club....

Good first season / star of the future v brain dead / useless / very bad

Jackson appears to be a bit marmite!!

For me, I would rather see him coming off the bench against tired legs - not a player who should be in starting 11 - especially against top sides like city.

Yeah I think I'm in the middle with him. We absolutely should not be going into this season with him as our main striker, but he has talent, just not good enough to be our number 9 right now.

He is an utter liability

no positional awareness  I’m not even convinced he knows the offside rule

to but a 1000 players and leave us with this utter buffoon is borderline negligent

he offers nothing anywhere  in face I would rather play with 10 men

utter sh*te

The people who say he had a good first season and is a future star are seriously deluded and/or grasping at straws.

He was sh*t last season. A constant liability who harmed the team. He rarely scored goals that mattered - so the overall goal tally that some speak to is smoke and mirrors....

Trust your eyes - the guy is awful.

I don't want to seem unfair by comparing him one of the best strikers but difference is Haaland is always watching and alert to any sniff of a chance that comes him way. Jackson rarely seems prepared.

Look, Sanchez should’ve saved the second easily today BUT if Jackson was any other player in the Top 5 Divsions of the pyramid we’d of snuck a draw today. Being offside for the disallowed goal is inexcusable and that chance in the second half, he only had to put it anywhere other than where he did and it’s a goal.

He is a decent squad player, but not good enough to lead the line. The shot at the end of that run where he was eventually given offside, was terrible. Looked like he hadn't kicked a ball before. His overall shooting is the weakest part of his game, technique, accuracy, and composure. You can tell he is a converted winger, so unnatural in front of goal.

Really hoping we get Osimhen, who misses a few for sure, as fo all top strikers, but for me Osimhen just leads the line better, real box presence, unreal in the air, and a strong personality too.

There was a moment in the first half where the ball came to him, he had 2 city players around him and nkunku (I think) in acres of space. He tried a step over and fouled Dias. Then there was the offside goal where he can see across the line from his position and still managed to be offside. Then there was the chance where if he put it anywhere apart from down the keepers throat it’s a goal. That’s 3 big moments in the game where he’s cost us.

He is very good technically and has pace and is strong but his footballing brain is so poor a lot of the time, if he could learn positioning, composure and decision making he’d be unbelievable. Can he do that though? I’m yet to be convinced.

He’s got great potential. People just need to be patient.

You're welcome to cut and paste that line into 97% of our players threads.

Agree with the potential.  He's just so raw.  He's barely had a preseason, and I admire that he never stops running.  Maybe he could hold that a little for the offsides.  There is a player in there - whether we have the patience for him to mature is another question.
