I found this image of some guy called "nicolas jackson", who was wearing a shirt with the name of some guy called "Simplymo", and who was trying to evade getting shot with a bow and arrow by some guy called "nonotnowjim.".... so weird! That's brilliant, I've saved it and taking a screenshot to send to your lover nico. Lol
August 13, 20241 yr @Simplymo Do you still use Freeserve dial-up Mo? Speaking to some Chelsea fans over MSN Messenger!

MSN messenger brinks back a fk load of memories, is that even around anymore? It takes time to do that stuff last time I dabbled with photoshop about 20 yrs ago...I guess its much easier now.
August 23, 20241 yr Enzo said he'll be the number one for the league. Seriously, how is this still happening. This has to be an instruction from his sporting director buddy that signed him.
August 27, 20241 yr Still don't see how he's our number one. 4 times the ball ended up in the back of the net at the weekend with him barely reacting to any of them.

He also gave it away cheaply with a bad clearance again. Picking out Jackson from the goal kick was nice, but it shouldn't gloss over all of the other negatives we suffer.
August 28, 20241 yr I thought he did alright at the weekend but if I was one of our 42 goalkeepers I’d fancy my chances at taking his place.
August 28, 20241 yr He's very average, as are all of our keepers seemingly. Even the goalkick wasn't particularly impressive, I don't think he intended to place it so perfectly in Jackson's path even if the idea was a good one and I can't help but think he should have done better on the cross for Wolves' second goal too. August 28, 20241 yr Its a bit sad that Liverpool just go out and get Mamardashvili a year in advance while we are dicking around with Sanchez, Jørgensen, Slonina, Penders, Petrovic and heaven knows who else.

It's quite clear that the owners are not stacking up the GK position to strengthen the first team. If it were then there was a much simpler way to go about it. We're stockpiling decent options in the hope that 2-3 of these become good and can be flipped for 40+ mill in the next couple of seasons. For the first team they are quite happy to have below average GKs who can do a job. It's evident that the aim for the owners is not to challenge for the league or the CL. For them it's about top 4 and the revenue that comes with it and the side business of trying to book profit by selling players. It's like they are trying to build 2 streams of income, i.e., money from the first team and money from the sale of all the obscure signings who will likely never play for the club.
August 28, 20241 yr Two goals came in part because of his distribution (2nd and 6th). The idea he's outrightly bad on the ball is amusing, yes he makes a lot of stupid brain farts which will ultimately see to him being a long term number 1 here (well that and he just isn't that good at "actual goalkeeping" outside of arielly) but there's a difference between that and being outrightly sh*t on it.
August 28, 20241 yr Unfortunately he's the best we have to play Maresca's style atm. Jorgensen isn't as accurate or as comfortable with the long passes yet but is capable of it or they wouldn't play him in ecl imo.
September 15, 20241 yr Seems to have learnt to push the ball out of the box rather than back in to it, which is a bonus.
September 16, 20241 yr You would have thought a penalty save and 6 other good saves would get more praise. I should be surprised Sancho got MoM over Sanchez but these pundits award it for the silliest of reasons sometimes...
September 28, 20241 yr I was hoping he was done with the blunders. He’s a good shot stopper and has been making some great saves lately, including today. I also think he’s technically very good with his feet. However, he always has it in him to have a brain fart moment and give away a goal or two. Very mixed performance today. But when you make two mistakes like today, you have to give an F.

If Jorgensen can avoid any mistakes and keep a clean sheet against Genk next Thursday, it will certainly give Maresca something to think about ... but I still think he will stick with Sanchez against Forest though.
September 28, 20241 yr Incredible that after spending an absolute fortune he's our fist choice keeper. I can't understand for the life of me why after so many shockers we still have to rely on this clown in goal.
September 28, 20241 yr Not one to kick a man when he's down but he is the weak link in this team and the reason Brighton were anywhere near us today. If we want to challenge for the league we can't have him in goal, hopefully it's only a matter of time before Enzo sees that.
September 28, 20241 yr As long as Enzo insist on playing out like that I'm only going to blame Sanchez 50% because the other 50% is on Maresca for not letting him boot the ball when he's under pressure. I don't see Jorgensen doing any better playing that style.

He was doing the same under Poch, he's just prone to brain farts.

It came when we were dominating possession, I think he has a concentration problem. Cech said once the hardest thing for him was concentrating during a game where he had nothing to do, being ready for that one moment.
