f**kin get in. f**k De Zerbi slimy turd, f**k Brighton and especially f**k all the doom-mongers on here who only turn up to post and revel in it whenever our backs are against the wall.

The bellends won't read this mate, won't be on the forum for a few days at least as we won.

That VAR sh*t was a disgrace, desperately trying to find a reason not to give ours stonewaller, then taking ages over one 15 minutes into 10 minutes extra time that blatantly hit him in the face, f**king ridiculous.

Captains performance from Silva. Immense, MoM. Enzo really good, and shout out to Mudryk and rest of back line and GK. Gallagher should not be back in the side.

Football is hard. Every win is such a fight. How that was even considered that long for a penalty to Brighton at the end was questionable.  Game went into the 114th min in total.  Crazy.

With all due respect, Enzo is MOTM here. He was playing really well even without the goals.

Is Ugochukwu injured ? He's not in the matchday squad today and young Alex Matos is the only midfield cover. Also back to two goalkeepers LOL.

Surprised Sanchez is keeping his place. As many of us thought he might be, he's well down the list of top keepers in the PL ... 13th best on save percentage to date,  and 26th (out of 29) on expected goals conceded as well. Basically we are conceding goals to shots that he should be saving !

This aged really really well.

To be fair I'm pretty sure Pawson gave the penalty on the pitch and var told him to look because he was clearly wrong. Without var we wouldn't have got our penalty and Brighton would have got that at the end.

Still, doesn't change the fact that the standard of refereeing is sh*t.

I think the sign on the bigscreen read "Checking penalty Handball". Pawson looked unsure of what he was doing since the ball hit Colwill till after the VAR check.

Horrible to watch, I was going to loss my sh*t with the refs if they gave them a penalty. I don't even know how they got to the point where they had the ref go over and look at the screen, it clearly hit Colwill's head. Thankfully they caught themselves at the last second.

Desperately needed this win, well done to the boys for sticking out. I have to admit I completely wrote us off after the red card, no chance I said.

Thank goodness we managed to get that. I don't care how we got it at this point, we needed the win.

He gave it on pitch.

VAR told him to have a rethink, that's why they didn't get the corner. Ball was dead

Well bar the last few minutes when fubo cut the feed I caught most of it.

Overall felt we defended well. Got bodies in the way. Made two mistakes, Brighton punished them both, fair play in that efficiency.

Ratings:

Sanchez - 5. Had little to do really, no chance on either goal. Rating up for claiming balls in the air and slowing the game down, raising down for a few heartstoppers with his feet in the first half.

Disasi - 7. Lead at the back well, passes on point. Warrior.

Silva - 8. Leader. Immaculate.

Badiashile- 7. Solid.

Colwill - 6. Overall good, allowed too much room for Brightons first.

Caciedo - 7 workhorse.

Enzo - 9. Class

Gallagher - 2. Braindead.

Sterling - 4. Played against a kid, was poor.

Jackson - 7 some good moments, good pass to Mudryk.

Mudryk - 7. Bumped for winning the pen and scaring them.

Harsh on Sanchez. Apart from the miscontrol in the first half he was great.

This is exactly it.

Annoys me when commentators don't know what's going on.

He gave the pen. Ball is dead at that point, he can't then give the corner

I didn't know either - thanks for the explanation 😁

The world is over. People hate chelsea a lot. Immediately Gallagher got the first yellow, I started hoping the referee will not give him the second yellow out of hatred for Chelsea.

That was what he did, why do people hate Chelsea, people just hate us for no reason.

Important 3 points so happy with that!

Not a good performance though. And we are still firmly in 10th so we need need to beat United & Everton to follow up here.

We have closed some ground on West Ham and Brighton immediately above us though !

Yes, the monitor review was because VAR told him to change his decision on the handball. Not that the appalling NBC/Peacock commentators informed us that was happening. Ekoku was scandalously bad today. And the studio pundits (Mustoe and Howard) agreed with his insane take on the Mudryk pen, which was that he hadn't meant to trip him up and shouldn't have been penalised. For three ex-pros to be that ignorant about intent not being part of the foul law is beyond belief.

I think we got lucky that Caicedo was still on the pitch .. unfortunately we had no option off the bench that makes CG’s decision so poor..

but after that some amazing fight by the boys.. special mention for Sanchez to kick start the counter attack.. Mudryk winning the penalty ..

Great win and spirit .. up you blues really happy.

They have their reasons, but yes, they hate us.

Yup. Caicedo could’ve easily been sent off before our penalty.
