Who should he play there instead and don’t say Maatsen because he has been sh*te

Maybe because Maatsen isn't a left winger?

 Gallagher hasn't been much better,

I completely agree, all you need is  do nothing and you will just get the ball back.

Blocking shot? Just do nothing and the opp will miss their shot.

We can buy all the forwards we want, no striker can live with the sh*t we are serving up match after match. Apparently if you don’t shoot you don’t score. We have all this possession but don’t attack the opposition goal. This shows we’ve had twice as much possession but the shots are near the same.
This sh*t is on Poch, all this lazy f**king about the back and midfield.
Check any other top team with this possession and they have 2/3 times more shots.
BTW Colewill is not or never will be a full back.

Not sure why Gallagher getting stick for that half. Played far better than Caciedo and was the main reason Pslace created little until the death.  Mudryk got his goal and Jackson one move...then both promptly disappeared from the game.

He is our best and most reliable player. We will absolutely make a new deal with him.

The only mistake colwill made was trusting his cdm to do his job and mark his runner.

Poor communication all round for that goal mind, I think colwil ends up marking up badishilles man in the end.

Colwill misjudged the flight of the ball and left his man at the back post. His fault all day long.

Gallagher isn’t a central midfielder. Watch him closely. He’s rarely checking over his shoulder to see what’s around him. Can’t wait for Lavia to be fit.

I agree. The problem is that he's not a particularly great attacking midfielder either. To be an attacking midfielder, you need to be able to spot and play a pass and get the odd goal, he doesn't have that in his locker.

For £100k what does Caceido offered in this and recent games.  He's not a Kante or a Makelele or a Fabregas..Brighton sold us a dud so it appears.   Again a number of missed chances in the first and sh*t defending when it really matters.   Not sure what we will see the 2nd half...probably a Palace breakaway and 5 gilt chances from our boys being missed...

He is on top of his CDM out of position.

Maybe because he’s not that good at this level, and would get bullied, they would out the striker on him for long kicks and target him. There is a reason why Poch doesn’t want him In the back line.

Actually thought we were pretty decent for most of that half but once again switched off for their goal. Jackson may have been poor at times but he has also been involved in a couple of our best moments. He is a bit unlucky not to have 2 assists so far.

Gusto had a decent half and Nkunku is involved in a lot of our decent play. I thought Gallagher was ok too. Caicedo and Maatsen have been poor and Disasi awful.

Not many options from bench second half. I assume Nkunku will need a sub as he is likely not going to last much more than 60-70 mins. I would bring on Madueke for Maatsen

Reliable as in turns up and kicks a ball, he should not be the level we aspire to. On his best day he is an extremely average midfielder.

Caicedo stood idly by and watched Olesi trot into the box and then pointed fingers...getting to be very disappointed with our £100k man lately.

He actually did used to score a fair few goals. Not sure what position he played in for Palace but he scored a decent number for them on loan.

players seem to get scared and ignore his instructions

Hi

Haven't we had some very good chances yet again ?

Other teams just need a sniff of a goal and it's in the back of the net

I'll watch it later but it sounds like the majority of our games.

They are saying that Poch was getting frustrated with some of our players in some interview he gave earlier along with saying the job was harder than he thought it would be.

What another dreadful season this is turning out to be .

BUT we will WIN this , no problem

Come on you BLUES !!

This, he literally watched him run by and stood there, take some responsibility for the situation.

Maatsen is invisible. What does he do.

Caicedo the same just hides and you rarely see effort in either direction, without Gallagher who at least sprints and wins balls back he would be nothing and Conor at least tries to be involved.

Colwill at LB is not working.

What i also noticed we never switch play with long balls, only Nkunku did it once. I mean we never play long balls at all. Oh i miss Fabregas!

When he played at Palace, they were a counter attacking team. They were very direct. Everything was about getting the ball quickly to Zaha. We don't play direct though, we are all about building from the back. Gallagher has no hope as an attacking midfielder with that kind of setup.

Midfield 3 where he can make late run to the box which is the position that he prefer to play
