I saw an interview from Glasner saying everything I like to hear a coach say. He will set up a team and formation that best suits the players he has. It's been so long since we had a coach like that managing the club. I'm not saying we should go get Glasner (although, I wouldn't object to it) but I want a manager that is sensible and isn't trying crazy sh*t like, as you say, put Gusto in midfield.

Glasner stands up to the board at Palace. That's the last thing our lot want

I wonder if they will go for a Championship Manager that's bringing a club up again?

Coventry is having an impressive season, wonder if we can get their manager to consider coming to Stamford Bridge?

The news we've all been waiting for!

Think they'll bring in Southgate - 6 months to see how it goes ... hopefully no harm done on either side.

Jesus Christ I didn’t even think of Southgate, to think Rosenior wasn’t depressing enough. Bloody hell happy new year everyone

Frank was a club legend as a player. But clueless as a manager. Mark Robbins built that team at Coventry. Frank hasnt f*ucked it up yet.

There has been no improvement in the team whatsoever. Strange line ups, strange substitutes (when he made them) and what I perceived to be a lack of fear (might not be the right word) of him particularly when it comes to in field discipline.

Taking off Palmer the other night (correctly or not) I thought was done to provoke a reaction from the crowd, and in turn those upstairs.

Not sure where we go from here, but I don’t think it’s the worst decision.

Rosenior is an upgrade on Maresca and would at least have us playing entertaining football getting the best out of the likes of A. Santos.

Can hopefully bring Barca with him.

Having said that I don’t really mind who our next manager is, so long as he plays Palmer on the right.

All the sports Journalists mentioning Liam Rosenior which means decision has already been made it’s him which also means a new manager will be appointed in the summer or early September.

I don’t see this guy winning a single game for us and he will be sacked.

Yep. Got Postecoglu vibes already and he's not even appointed yet.

You sure?

AI Google search.

Liam Rosenior's style is a high energy, possession based approach focused on pressing, turnovers, and quickly transitioning to attack with pace and precision, often using short passess to draw opponents.

No surprise he’s finally gone. I’ve never warmed to him however I thought he / we had turned the corner after the CWC final; the football was good to watch and I was hoping that when this season began we’d see more of the same, but no, we have watched sh*t boring football for the most part, thrown away games we should have won. This together with his insistence of playing young world class players out of position and his in game management was the end for me. Defensively we’ve become a total shambles because of it; you can’t have your two full backs caught in the opponents box when you lose the ball and the scurry back to try and get into position like a dog chasing a ball. The spine of the team was never built, just a collection of players playing alongside each other in the hope it would work out, no structure, no balance. So yes I’m glad the stubborn Italian has gone albeit bad timing IMO. Now the rush for an interim manager and who knows a chance for Sterling and Desasi to redeem themselves (I hope not).

Rosenior seems the obvious choice for the board but who knows what the two SD morons will come up with.

Win percentage, 39%

I really don't see how you can put their position in the Championship down Robbins when that same manager had them close to relegation last season. Maybe he had taken Coventry as far as he could.

Im being harsh because i have never forgiven frank for going to Citeh and playing against us.

He not a great manager though certainly not at Premier league level, doubt he would be a yes man ( thats one positive)

They finished 9th under Robins, then we're near relegation and Lampard too then up to 5th. But yeah, all Robins and definitely nothing to do with lampard.

But be careful, he'll send you DMs now as he seems to get really upset by people daring to question him.

I daresay that Frank's overall contributions to Chelsea as both player and manager may just outweigh that somewhat.

Rosenior has a similar playing style to Maresca, but has even less experience as a manager.

Exactly.

All following the BlueCo play book on preferred style of play etc etc

I don't think we are going to see any change to this playing out from the back stuff from the new manager, whoever it turns out to be ...
