I don’t think he was. Maresca would rather play Cucurella/Gusto at DM, and either Gusto/James at LB ahead of him. Whole situation is bizarre

Tweedledum and Tweedledee read my post about Veiga being my designated bruiser and now they see a future for him at Chelsea. Out to learn some sneaky Italian tricks. Excellent.

No one knows dick. Remember we are the only club to survive a Romano "here we go" & an Ornstein bomb. 

Honestly won't mind his departure if it means Samuels-Smith gets a look in.

Matt Law knows as much as you do about the situation.

Hopefully the loan works out good for him. He plays often, impresses and we go from there.

Was not going to play here, other than conference league, our team selections made that pretty clear.

Quick return too. Reported fee to Basel was 14mill euros, reported loan fee here 5mill euros with wages covered. Annual FFP hit of 2.8mill plus wages, so 1.4mill for half a FFp season, making it 3.6mill "profit" on the accounting books.

Loan move to Juventus confirmed.

Somewhat odd to see, but current owners have shown before they aggressively move players. 

Wonder how much this was player forced.

Probably depends on how much game time he could get at Juventus. They aren't a bad team, he will do well  if he gets regular starts.

Apparently they're using the profit on this one to get a set of revolving doors installed at the Bridge.

Not good enough for us but good enough for a top Serie A club. 

I think we are giving up him way too early, at the very least we should give him a few dry loans to develop before deciding.

Although i wish we'd kept him Juventus and Serie A absolutely stink these days.

Few days ago we are told Veiga wants out as he wants to just play as a CB.

Yesterday Veiga says to the public he is happy to play wherever the coach asks him to play.

Surprised he’s gone, when he hasn’t had a shocker and played in several positions. Ra her others gone before him.

Decent debut for Juventus by the look of it, at left centre back in their 4-1 win vs Empoli. 7.3 rating on both Whoscored and Sofascore, best out of all the back 4.

Empoli are seriously poor. Relegation fodder. Still, good start, and you can only beat what's in front of you.

Colwill in absolutely horrible form and Juventus have now won every game Veiga has played.

He's a perfect fit for Motta's style but still hasn't been tested as a defender.

He was brilliant on Sunday. Made one error which nearly cost a goal but other than that was extremely solid and assured in defence against a very good Inter attack.
