I'm actually really pleased that they have done it. Proving that you can play high tempo, pro active football that is entertaining. Controlling games doesn't have to be defenders passing it to each other at walking pace 70 yards from their goal.

And it can be done with young players. PSG average age for their UCL squad is quoted as 23.3

Enrique is light years ahead of Maresca as a manager.

Spot on @just . Throughout this season the vast majority of us don't have a problem with the players. There are one or two that I don't rate, which might be slightly different from you and so on across us all. But I think we arexall aware that the foundation of our team is talented. There just isn't the blend and the woeful tactics and style of play is a major blocker for us to get near to this level.

I’m hoping the Chelsea board are watching and learning from this.

With the right tweaks you can be a really good team with young players.

Get the top striker we need as well as Delap, get the Nico Williams level of a winger.

Bid £1 more than Liverpool for Florian Witz, they tried it with Caicedo lol.

Time to show we are serious.

Enrique will need a fresh challenge at some point, so hopefully when we've finished flogging a dead horse with Maresca we might be able to tempt him into dusting off his PowerPoint slides again. Assumes our dimbo directors have already f**ked off of course ... they must be feeling like a right pair of twats this evening ... still, that Conference League trophy is lovely ! LOL

PSG’s young side proved what a young side can do. But a young side with the likes of Doue and Kvaratskhelia and Dembele, who no matter how you look at it, are a million times better than likes of Madueke and Neto and Jackson. Ours and PSG’s sides are of similar age, but they are not of similar standard. There’s little point in comparing really.

Just remembered we get to watch this PSG team against Spurs in the Supercup. I beg Ange to play his high line against those demons.

That would be funny.

Personally I think Ange won’t even be Spurs boss next season.

I hope this gives our fans some hope on young players. PSG did amazingly well with a youthful side. Amazing job by everyone. Everything worked for them.

We need a better manager we have a sh*te manager who is nothing like Luis. His boring sh*te football is nothing like what we saw tonight.

No one has an issue with our young players

Not really. The way PSG are doing it is the right way, we're doing it the wrong way.

PSG have a good and experienced goalkeeper. Donnarumma may have just turned 26 and is younger than Sanchez, but he's played at the top level of the game since he was a teenager and had double the appearances.

They have a leader and experience at the back in Marquinhos, aged 31.

They have Ruiz in midfield, age 29.

They have Dembele up front, age 28.

They have a spine of experience like every successful team has, and they have surrounded it with extremely talented young players.

Doue (19), Barcola (22), Kvaratskhelia (24) vs Madueke (23) Neto (25) and Sancho (25)........so not only are our wingers older, but they're not even close to being on the same level, and they never will be. There isn't a single thing our wingers are better at compared to these players.

Vitinha and Neves, those two are a better than Enzo, and as much as I rate Caicedo, they are ahead of him too, at least when it comes to their ability on the ball and their movement.

We have some excellent young players. Palmer, Caicedo, Colwill is improving, but let's be real, outside of a few, we are nowhere near the level of those PSG players, and a lot of our players never will be. If it was going to happen, why aren't we already there with them? The average age of both sides is very similar, so if it was going to happen, shouldn't it already be happening? It's not like their players are going to stop developing, so why should I believe the gap in quality just won't widen?

Another very important part is the manager. After watching PSG, this should have opened your eyes about just how much of a detriment Maresca will be on these young players. Do you honestly see any signs our young group will ever learn to pass, move, control, finish and overall just look as complete as that PSG side does under Enrique? I don't. Maresca is too rigid, he won't let them play with freedom, he's too scared. This will be the biggest stumbling block in their development. Enrique is so much more positive when it comes to letting these young players expressive themselves. He has them playing without fear, Maresca has our lot questioning and overthinking every pass and every shot. He's made them doubt themselves.

Neto, Sancho and Madueke.

Tough choice ...

Common. Last season people told me that we are following Madrid way, somebody also said we are following PSG way.

PSG were super impressive. No one would have beaten them with the way they played.

Very happy for Luis Enrique after experiencing the tragedy of losing a child a few years back.

Yep.

It did seem fitting for PSG to win. Unlike before, when they had all the big ego's, they are now a very likeable side , playing great football, football how it should be played, and brilliantly coached by Enrique. On that showing, they could dominate for seasons to come, but give me that over Pep's boring passing & possession football.

Feel a bit for Inter. Winning nothing when at one point the treble looked possible. I guess somewhere out there is the Inter equivalent to The Shed End, where Inter fans are absolutely seething and castigating the coach and every single player!

Their young players are actually good. Plus they have a blend of good experienced winners e.g. Dembele, Hakimi, Donnarumma & Kvaratskhelia.

Do not for one second think yoi can draw hope and think we are comparable.

Cant see psg or anyone dominating football to be honest. This era is different. Psg are a very good young side but the overall quality in football has regressed. I knew they would smash Inter. Arsenal had PSG camped in their own half for most of the 2nd leg , which is why I was so happy to see the go out. Inter knocking out Barca (& Bayern) robbed us of a great final. A passionate team full of old players and rejects who were last good in 2016.

It's open season. Anyone that builds a good side has every chance to win the clge.

If this game doesn't show our board that we have a huge need for key reinforcements, then nothing will. Congrats to PSG and Luis Enrique above all, quality stuff

Why are we trying to compare ourselves to PSG? They are far more ahead in their development, have more experience than we do, and more quality in various positions. Our players don't have the experience playing that level yet. Even PSG's younger players have experience of playing in the CL. This PSG team made the semi-finals of the CL last season. Also, Dembele, Hakimi, Marquinos, Ruiz, Kvaratskhelia, Donnarumma all have experience of winning trophies at the highest level. We need to close the gap on Liverpool, rather than focusing on a team like PSG. Even Liverpool showed they weren't on PSG's level, yet they won our league.
