They really are shocking right now.

But I can't help keep comparing their situation to ours. Ours is not as bad, but we keep looking back at times are squad was so much better, under Jose, Carlo and even Conte, just as United fans are comparing now to Fergie era.

We're alot closer to Utd than people think. We've had many opportunities to pull away and keep getting drawn into their territory. CL Qualification and a top quality summer of the right signings for once is key.

No wonder - neither club will spend money, and certainly Utd's cost cutting efforts will probably ask the manager to pay for his own tracksuit and to bring a packed lunch....

And when our superstar SDs go back in for Garnocho it's likely United will accept the offer.

The worrying thing for me is that that absolutely sh*te Utd team looked pretty good when they played against us.. I'm resigned to a f**k up last 2 games. Hopefully I'm wrong .

Utd had good games vs Liverpool and Arsenal. Seem to up their game vs good teams then turn completely sh*t against the worst teams.

So I’m going to extract from that we are actually a good side and Spurs are complete sh*t.

Disagree. The defence and midfield is fine for another season.

All they need right now are attackers and a GK, maybe another wing back if they have money to spare afterwards, expensive positions that would have been easier to get with the CL windfall.

Actually midfield and defense is the problem.

Casemiro, Ugarte, eriksen are way too slow. Their only "reliable" lcb is shaw. Lenny yoro is 19 and he is your main rcb. Their two wb are questionable defensively. Cucurella and Johnson goal are almost identical. Dorgu and Mazraoui didn't track their man.

They were ok under Ole, it started going downhill after cr7 and then ten hag. Just bizzare signing after bizzare signing.

Casemiro is fine as a squad player, Urgate is okay till next season for a better upgrade. It's not a main concern at the moment.

Shaw is not reliable at all, he's far worse than Yoro and their best performances have come with Yoro at LCB. He doesn't even play RCB for them. De ligt or Magiure at CB is very good. RCB is normally Mazaroui who has been solid there as well. Not to mention they also have Haven who looks very good too. CB is perfectly fine. Amad is better at wingback than in the number 10 role, left wing back is a bit weak yeah but again not a pressing concern more than attackers and GK.

They don't need the widescale changes next season people think they do. A better striker or two, a better number 10 or two along with a better GK and they will be in a much better position already.

Utd also cannot play against teams that sit a bit deeper. This is why Tottenham won. If Tottenham had played the usual suicide football they have played under Postecoglu, then United would have beaten them.

What a poor game of football that was. Don't get the pain about Spurs winning. Honestly couldn't give a toss that Spurs have won the Europa. Of course if it was CL, that would be a different matter but I perversely look forward to seeing them get battered in the CL next season.

When you see how far the once mighty have fallen (Man Utd), it is concerning. I thought we were bad but they really do look a lost cause and only look to be heading one way. That could easily be us in the future. It's time they stopped handing out such ridiculous contracts to very average footballers.

It's exactly what I thought Nibs, watching United fills me with fear. That is our future if we don't start making some smart decisions over the next few years.

Always had thing for Napoli since their rise from Serie C, they seemed doomed as nearly men, the Lavezzi-Cavani-Hamisk era really should have won more, the Sarri era made it seem like they’d always be the bridesmaid. Conte really has cemented himself as a winning machine, one of the best coaches of his generation, losing Kvara to PSG in January should have sealed their fate but no.

Jorginho = 0 Serie A titles

Billy Gilmour = 1 Serie A title

It's now official.

Serie A's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for 2024-25. .. .. .Scott McTominay.

Conte is good when he's not in self destruct mode. I'm not sure I would place him amongst the best though, he's been a failure when it comes to European competitions.

Conte’s the first coach to win the Serie A with three different clubs.

The man is a legend. Still shake my head years later at how we sacked him for Sarri.

Takes a team from 7th to 1st in Juventus (2012), 10th to 1st in Chelsea (2017) and 10th to 1st in Napoli (2025).

Napoli’s achievement is similar to what we did 8-10 years ago by coincidence.

  • Chelsea (2014/15) = Napoli (2022/23) = 🏆

  • Chelsea (2015/16) = Napoli (2023/24) = 10th

  • Chelsea (2016/17) = Napoli (2024/25) = 🏆

Serie A is so sh*t. It's no surprise that Lukaku and McTominay can dominate that league when defenders can't even defend.

Tbf Conte played McTominay as st and in the box mct is better than many st.

I’d take Conte back in a heartbeat over the absolute melt we have at the moment.

Bloke is a serial winner and that’s not something you can teach, you’re either born with it or you’re not.
