Frustrating night but it looked like a disaster a few mins ago. The last few games have just been a repeat of terrible misses, questionable ref decisions against us and gifting the opposition a goal by giving the ball away in our own half.

It's still a disaster. Is a draw at home to Bournemouth considered a good result now?

I guess it was, for that past 2 seasons.

Corner ! One last roll of the dice ... come on lads !!!

Ah you are great mate, your positive attitude is great for this site.

But thinking we are scoring from a corner against a good opponent? You were stretching there lol.

honestly really liked james inverting there, thought he's tidy and clean and strong in the middle. think his days of bombing up and down the flank are better finished anyway, as his hamstrings don't want to allow it.

The board have a serious decision to make this January.

Invest in a striker to help challenge for top 4 or keep it as it is and miss out.

Every single game, we play well, we score , we miss easy chances, we concede, opposition get more confidence then game gets away from us.

Not clinical enough and missing a real winner’s mentality.

Not a good result but at one stage city were ahead of us and Bournemouth level.

Madueke and Neto are 2 peas in a pod.

One needs shipping off in the summer. Need a goal scoring winger to replace who leaves.

Neither of these two are fit to lace Brian Mbuemo's boots. But we'll end up throwing more money at a seven stone powder puff from some weak foreign league.

Do we have to sign Sancho? Is there any way out of it? He was sh*t at United and he's not been any better with us in all honesty.

I think it's an obligation to buy isn't it otherwise I wouldn't bother. Sick of wingers who constantly play it safe and he doesn't really score or assist.

You've cracked it! That explains our recent form, we're deliberately tanking games in the second half so we finish below 14th and get out of signing Sancho.

Frustrating but on balance of play, draw was fair result. Concerning how we easily get overpowered second half, time and time again. First half brilliant. Second half, we were atrocious. I think that injury Palmer had first half definitely had an affect on him second half as he was really laboured and looked a different player. Subs concerning again. James coming on made sense but come on, to leave Nkunku on the bench is striking. I am concerned at the wheels falling off. Second half in almost all games, we are getting tired and teams end up outplaying us. Maresca needs to address this. No Plan B at all. Second half was appalling. Concerning the run we are on considering the teams we have dropped points against are teams we should be beating comfortably.

When you have a striker missing the amount of chances that Wacko does you’re f**ked.

Forget blaming Maresca, that’s all has been done for the last 4 managers, when we are on top we don’t have what it takes to take advantage and effectively kill a game.

Yes we have a big issue in midfield, Lavia really needs to come back, and we need a commanding centre back who will calm it down when required.

I’ve seen nothing in Wacko or Nkunku that suggests there is anything magical going to happen with either of them in the goalscoring stakes. But that doesn’t excuse the rest of the team for not contributing to help the team.

My expectations rose 5 games ago, and now I’ve been brought back to reality. 3 points from 15 with the opposition we have faced is pony, but no point in getting too upset about it, we keep going.

KTBFFH

So many of us didnt trust jackson even during our good run of form and several people acted like we were crazy, now we are finally reaping what we sowed by relying on him. If the board don't by a striker this window we are not making top 4

I actually thought he was probably the best of our front players today but that isn't remotely saying much

Let's be honest if you could wipe the slate clean and buy a new team from scratch, when considering your forward minded players,  you wouldn't be remotely entertaining signing Sancho, Madueke, Jackson, Neto, Nkunku, Mudryk, Enzo  or Felix (and I'm one who thinks Felix should get playing time)

I think our biggest problem is inability to stay calm under pressure. Under slightest pressure and stress our players loose any composure and suffer from red mist effect: passing accuracy drops to comical level, rush decisions, wrong moves, zero vision of other players positioning. Stress resistance can be and should be trained into players.

That’s the depressing thing about this blueco era, aside from Palmer and the Cobham boys, the idea of wiping the slate clean is pretty easy to digest.

Really disappointing result for me and sums up our recent form.

2nd in the league with a chance to go top before we played Everton.

We’ve been woeful ever since, never play well for more than 45 minutes.

With Maresca hammering home the point “we’re not in a title race” has literally had the opposite effect, we’ve believed the manager and played like a team that didn’t really believe we should be at the top of the league table.

So, why was hair-pulling a red card vs Southampton, but only a yellow today?

VAR recommended a yellow. The ref had an easy call based on that but didn't make it.

Would certainly have helped if the owners entertained buying a bit of experience but they are not going to do that because they won't be able to protect the market value of the 29 year old centreback and midfielder that they should bring in.

Completely shooting ourselves in the foot of course. They may be protecting the market value of most of the players we sign but what about the hundreds of millions we've already lost out on by missing out on Champions League for two consecutive years and perhaps three consecutive soon enough?

Ridiculous strategy. We are becoming a player trading operation, not a serious football club.

I wouldn't even bother listing Mudryk as he is set for a long ban. But mostly agree on the others. They have their moments and are decent options from the bench. But if we want to challenge for trophies we need better starters. Question is whether the owners really care about challenging for the top honours? Feels like the profits on players are more important.

Certain people said he was finished, he always comes back just as good. Reece and Cole our only truly world class players.

I don’t think many if any people ever questioned Reece’s ability, and when saying he’s finished were getting more at the fact that every time he comes back, it’s not long before he’s gone again.

Maybe this time he’s back and is never long term injured ever again, which would be wonderful, but let’s just see if he can survive until the end of this season at least. That’d be quite an achievement in itself.

Then we’d just need nine more top quality players to go with him and Palmer.
