Chelsea vs AC Milan (Friendly) Sunday 10th August 15:00 GMT

We have a seriously talented squad especially in attacking areas. Absolutely stacked in midfield, on the wing and up top now. CB and the goalkeeper is the only worry. I'd love Fofana to come back and stay fit but it's unlikely.

Guehi looks injured for Palace. That could rule out us signing him.

I don't think we were ever going to get him

Fairly confident he's going to run his contract down

Maresca will have a difficult decision to make this season. I think Santos and Essugo both look better suited to play with Caicedo. Not sure he has the bottle though.

I'm not an Enzo critic myself, his range of passing with both feet is elite IMO, but he hasn't got pace and isn't the greatest athlete and that is nearly always a negative for a midfielder in the EPL.

I agree on your point about Maresca. He won't be leaving Enzo on the bench for anybody. Exactly like Tuchel used to be with Jorginho.

Depth we have will hopefully end the stale football against those stubborn sides (+Simons coming) but my stance remains the same in that we need a CB.

Colwill’s absence is leaving a void in organization.

And more and more I am thinking seniority needed.

Estevao is looking like a truly amazing footballer. I think he is going to destroy some teams.

Ever time he gets the ball defenders look scared sh*tless.

Two things will happen he will rip defenders apart or they get sent off trying to stop him.

Can't read anything into the game. The team seem to have confidence and be in a good mood.

But I've seen many pre seasons that bear no relation to the first month of the season.

Palace will be a tough tough game.

Especially with the pre-season we have had. Way too short to really be sure about anything.

I agree with this. I think he's a very, very good footballer, but we have at least two players now that are a better fit to partner Caicedo in central midfield, and we are stacked for AMs which is not really his position anyway.

I'd like to keep him as an option, we'll have a busy campaign and I could imagine him being valuable in the CL, but if we did sell him to Madrid, I'd feel like "oh well, that's a shame, but it makes sense for both parties"

Despite liking Fernandez myself, I wouldn't disagree Dave.

I haven't seen enough of Essugo to form an opinion yet, but Santos looks the part. At their ages I would hope both of them are just happy to be part of the squad this year, but Maresca has to be prepared to give them meaningful minutes on the pitch and not treat them like he did Chukwuemeka.

No secret that I've never been convinced by Enzo. Disappears under pressure far too often for my liking. That said I wouldn't be keen to shift him on yet. We have better options to partner Caciedo but they are young and new to the English league. They need time to develop. So with some decent management there should be scope to rotate players.

However if a monster offer came in for Enzo I wouldn't hesitate to sell.

Twisting knife once again in Spurs' wounds. A trophy they could be part of and dream of winning.

So we actually handed out trophies for both friendlies 😅🤣

Odd. Still, Bling Is Bling!

So we’ve won three trophies in our last three games!😀

Attacking areas and midfield sorted. Sanchez can hold the number 1 spot for another season but I am seriously worried about our defence. Lacks quality with the injuries and we are down to the bare bones. Dont know who, but we really need to sign a really good defender.
