I remember why we got rid of the politics thread now. I know I shouldn't bite, but I'm curious as to how Corbyn is a "Nazi" and Abramovich is "innocent".

I dont like his politc but calling corbyn a nazi is ridiculous. And yes, 8 years ago where he praising him after he had been in power 1 year and Rosenior had seen progress on anti racism where he grew up.Though none of this has f**k all to do with him now being our manager anyway, its just mental to even bring it up.But it is better than what the racist, homophobic, bellend wrote, that has thankfully been deleted.
January 9Jan 9 getting the media on side early, I’m liking him already. Hopefully he knows how to manage.

The last one of them I can remember is Adolf Hitler and everyone always calls him a Nazi so…Plus it’s the age old argument winner, I’ve managed to use the Nazi/Racist card first which means I’m right no counter arguments allowed.Well Abramovich is innocent due to not actually having done anything as admitted by the charges now being dropped.Agreed about the comments from that melon earlier however, should never bring his race into it.
January 9Jan 9 I come here for an escape from all the sh*tty politics ruining the world. Can you shut the f**k up.
January 9Jan 9 I can see this thread going full politics, which might be a chance for the new manager to sneak under the radar and hopefully get a few decent football results in. Oh the magic of the cup(s)🙂

January 9Jan 9 He seems like an impressive guy, the more I watch him and the more I read about it I can't help but get behind him.No faith in Clearlake whatsoever but for Liams sake I hope he does well. Edited January 9Jan 9 by Sheva
January 9Jan 9 Midfield 2 that holds. Keep Gittens away from the XI at all costs unless it’s opposition 2 divisions lower. Send Tosin to U23s with Disasi. Don’t play Badiashile unless you absolutely have to. Don’t bastardize inverted fullbacks into your system. Move ball quicker and with intent. Let attackers express themselves. No Sanchez sweeper. Non negotiables really.

I wasn't going to involve myself. BUT, Hitler was a right-wing fascist, NOT a socialist. Yes, that word is part of the party name, but socialists and trade unionists were some of the first to be jailed and murdered in Nazi Germany. There's no evidence that Corbyn "hates" Jews. All irrelevant, one of the freedoms we fought for was the right to voice support for any legitimate political party we desire. It's ridiculous to call for Rosenior to be sacked because of his legitimate political views. That's intolerant, and anti democratic , and frankly one I'm surprised that you are comfortable with demanding.Regardless.Come on you BLUES!! 1 hour ago, The Boehly Babes said:
January 9Jan 9 Just watched his first presser. He has a certain charm to him and he's said all the right things. Then again I don't think I've ever seen a manager say the wrong things from the off.Ultimately it's all about winning football matches. Jose is an arrogant prick but we all love him. Potter is probably the nicest manager in the world and well, we know what we think of him.
January 9Jan 9 I was impressed with his first presser. Seemed confident and he seems to have something about him. It’s just whether the job eats him up and overwhelms him like it did with Potter. Hopefully not as he’s used to working with Blue Co.
January 9Jan 9 Like any manager we appoint, or any player whether from the Academy of from elsewhere, I always support them and fervently hope they succeed.Come on you BLUES!
January 9Jan 9 Says all the right things, didn’t expect anything less. I hope talk of him being a great man manager helps get the best out of some of our stagnant players and helps our star players shine. He already knows blue co and says he enjoys working with them! Works with young players and has already got the best out of a few at Strasbourg our own Santos, Barco and the 2 strikers have massively improved under him. What I will give the board is he ticks all the right boxes apart from the experience and winning part (I know pretty important parts). If he can hit the ground running then things could work out. A nice run of fixtures could help. Talk of playing with intensity and pressing high has peaked my enthusiasm. We will finally find out if it was Enzo benching Estevao every week or not.

Its the same slow, slow, ponderous build up, buggering around at the back but with the keeper being in the thick of it as well. I can see me hating this boring sh*te football as well

January 9Jan 9 Tell you what I was really harsh on him he seemed bitchy and insincere from what I saw of him very briefly and maybe that was fueled by being disappointed in getting another coach that’s isn’t experienced enough for this level. I will say though I think he handled his first interview very well and his outlook seems very good I like it. But does this mean he can use that to be a company man or can he harness that to man manage the players well and develop them we will see. Yes he’s not that caliber of coach we need but tactically inexperienced Maresca was top in big games, Arteta again doing a top job, granted this guy hasn’t worked under Pep but sometimes the manager who you don’t expect can make things happen. The talent is there and as he said we aren’t far off need consistency and to be a bit more savvy, let’s see but I don’t think we are so far gone we can’t get back into the top 4.

There are some rather poorly educated sorts on here. Some posters that can only best be described as being "willfully ignorant". The "R" word is the word that comes to mind when i think about what they are saying.

January 9Jan 9 I have to admit that it's refreshing to hear a manager coming in and saying we've gotta win immediately, rather than the usual fluff we've had from Potter, Poch and Maresca where they say "yeah we'll get there...eventually". I will judge him on what happens on the pitch, but this doesn't make me any less furious at how the club is being run by the board and owners.
