April 23Apr 23 Which coach out there is prepared to walk into this minefield?Adoni Iraola, Cesc Fabregas, Filipe Luis and Marco Silva appear to be the early contenders.
April 23Apr 23 Alonso is imo the most interesting pick.Glasner is a big no. I don't think hiring a manager who spent his last season complaining about how his board deal with transfer is a good fit for us. Iraola is quite similar to poch, a lot of fan complained about how we play under Poch. Edited April 23Apr 23 by Bob stark
April 23Apr 23 The old saying is don’t sh*t where you eat but based off his performancE…At this point, let Joe shields go eat where he sh*ts… and he can see out the season as “coach”

April 23Apr 23 Iraola for me. I think we need a reset with playing style. I’m sick to death of the playing out from the back borefest so as you say similar to Poch, we need a manager to get as scoring again and be entertaining.
April 23Apr 23 John Terry with the players having remote controlled electrodes surgically inserted into their b*llocks.
April 23Apr 23 Does it matter, while the imbeciles in charge continue to make the decisions the "coach" is on a hiding to nothing.
April 23Apr 23 All would be pretty interesting bar Silva. That would be another depressing appointment. A competent coach would have this team sitting 3rd or at the very worst 5th. Seems a big ask however to get a competent coach willing to work with his superiors for the minimum 2-3 years required to get back competing.
April 23Apr 23 Next coach is irrelevant as long as the Sporting Directors and the medical department interfere with his day to day plans. If after four years of failure BlueCo does not understand how football works and stick to their dumb plan, then we are f**ked.

Might as well skip the agony, pay him £4 million now and organise a sweepstake for every match where a supporter gets to coach the team.
April 23Apr 23 Keep seeing names like Ireola or even Marco Silva. How many managers have made the step up from midtable to a big team and actually won the league? I cant think of any excluding Ranieri. If you want to won the league or even challaenge for it, you bring in a manager that has won elsewhere in another big league.Maybe Arteta wins this year, and that is possibly proof of developing a young coach being able to develop and then challenge, but its took him 6 years, and complete control. Xabi Alonso clear 1st choice.NagelsmannSimeoneXaviDeschampsZidaneIf we dont hire a winner, it will be more of the same, and yes i know we arent that club anymore, but we should be with the amount we have spent.

I dont see why anyone wants him. Bournemouth is the easiest club in the PL to manage alongside Brighton.

Bournemouth is the easiest club in the PL to manage alongside Brighton.I think Felipe Luis would be a gamble, but at least he has already built a winning side, and as we saw in the summer, his team were impressive, and the South American opponents certainly were very capable themselves. Also knows his way around elite european football and the club and premier league too. So yes id extend that to Felipe Luis. Jaissle i'm less convinced about, Austrian and Saudi football, is not the same level. Its good he has worked with some big names, but still too much of a roll of the dice for me.
