Frankly speaking, I don't want to believe that rumour because he's a striker and he costs around 100m. We should at least strengthen the LWB position first unless ofc the club are willing to spend 150~200m in January.

I see that Ghoulam is injured too so the available LBs/LWBs that we could target now is Tierney, Laxalt or Shaw. We could get Bertrand but I don't really see him wanting to come back because he's pretty much secured in Soton.

Good player but Maxi Lopez's closeness with Fabregas and Pedro would probably make it a bad move for squad harmony. 

Do y'all think Leon Goretzka, Alexis Sanchez, and Faouzi Ghoulam could be serious targets of the board? All of which I believe are at the end of their contract. Understandable, Ghoulam is out injured, so he couldn't immediately make an impact, but potentially Baba could deputize till the end of the season. Goretzka could replace an aging Fabregas, although that would likely push out Loftus Cheek. Alexis would add a real threat on the right and we could get two or three good years from him, although I'd be worried about his impact to the dressing room. Either way all of these we could potentially get for a cut price, albeit higher wages. What say you?

I dont think he sold him because he didn't late him though. One Luiz wanted to go to PSG and secondly the offer was way too good to turn down. I rate Luiz but if i was the manager back then i would of sold him too.

I really think we should go all out for Sanchez in January, get him and we have arguably the best front 3 in the Premier League.

I'm torn on this. We have RLC that'd slot right in for the Fab role next season but having Sanchez would arguably improve us playing in that space in between the lines like Fab does.

I agree on Chiellini and I think Mata could be interesting if he's sold in January before his contract is up. He hasn't played lately at United, because of Mkhitaryan, and he is 29 and not the most physical player out there, but he's super creative, has great vision, and could provide cover on the wing or as a creative midfielder. Not sure if he'd be a fit based on our current squad, but if we make some changes, he could be an interesting addition if it were to even happen, I think Valencia is keen on bringing him home. I was a fan of his when he was here.

Hardly any chelsea did not love the little guy. But dont think he fits us at all. Mata (unfortunately) can only play in the hole behind the striker (effectively atleast). 3-4-3 does not give him that, neither does 3-5-2 (as we already have hazard). Moreover, I dont see him coming here to be a squad player. He will probably go back to spain.

Agreed on the possibility of him coming here to be a squad player being minimal, but he could fit in a 3-5-2 if Hazard were to be sold to Real or PSG, but again it's all wishful thinking based on prior love for him from his Chelsea days! We'll most likely see him in Valencia.

Messi is an obvious choice. Let the poor bar steward score against Chelsea, even if in training, before he retires.

I agree with most people about the positions we need to strengthen but I also believe you have to take good players whenever they are available. With that in mind I hope the club is throwing its hat in the ring for Goretzka and Malcolm. 

Our problem of course is that we’ve manoeuvred ourselves into a place where good players have little or no interest in joining Chelsea. Goretzka is a tremendous footballer, and therefore unfortunately an impossible target. Malcolm’s reputation might not yet be as firmly established so let’s go all in before he too moves beyond our reach. (Assuming he hasn’t already that is.)
