Don't recall him playing any passes in the final third, just kept his head down and shot every time.

Yep - he was one of the few last season who was willing to have a go and not hide. He was generally progressive and looked to move the ball forward well. 1.14mins  is my fav.

Exactly this! We seem to have that habit again of last season with running into players in and around the box! Even if it’s a fluffed shot, have a pop at goal, it could win or corner, handball, or whatever! Just take a chance!

I don't get why people are so down on Felix as well, guess they're mostly mad about his mistake that cost a goal against Spurs iirc and his red card straight away didn't help either. Like everyone else, he didn't set the world on fire last season, but was the only spark we had, just unlucky that his passes were all wasted by either Kai clumsiness, Mounts poor form etc.

If available for loan at a decent price, he's the closest we'd have to replicate Nkunku right now. Considering the injury to Chucky as well and maybe Maatsen still leaving, it'd be a handy deal and also wouldn't screw us much with FFP or whatsoever. He also seemed to enjoy playing for us, which is a bonus.

We took 17 shots against West Ham, hardly a low amount.

Felix had some exciting moments, but let's not forget he's an absolute liability when we're out of possession. I really don't think bringing him back would be a good idea.

Completely agree. Total liability and would never fit in the high octane style that Poch wants to play. Steer well clear. If Diego Someone can't get a tune out of a player it's a warning sign.

Well I did not see any evidence of a high octane style in the second half against West Ham. The funny thing about high octane football is that you need players that can progress with the ball fast and at the same see  attacking options, passing lanes, and possesses the ability to put all this information together and make the right decision either to pass quickly, dribble around an opposition player  or run with the ball into dangerous areas to hurt the opposition. Kindly refresh my memory .. how many players we have in the current Chelsea squad that can do this???

Also, talking about Diego Simeone in conjunction with attacking football is the same thing as calling a Tony Pulis Stoke United prime Barca

Putting in a lazy luxury player isn't the answer to our problems. We need everybody to work hard for 90 minutes to make things work. Having Felix moping around like his sh*t doesn't stink but doing a couple of flicks and tricks here and there will be totally ineffective and the fact that we've already had half a season of Felix to see exactly the type of character he is totally re-enforces that view. Kindly refresh my memory .. how many games did we win last season with Felix in the side???

Guess you ought to look up the definition of "high octane" 😊👍

Have you watched Atletico Madrid in recent times though? Ever since they loaned/banished out Felix out they have been playing free flowing football. They have picked up 53pts out of 66 in La Liga, which is probably the highest in the league in that period.

Problem is Felix goes well well too far the other way.

How the f**k do I explain to the grandkids he decided to shoot here 🤣

I was against this loan from the moment it surfaced on the rumour mill. I argued that he was talented but not effective and that effective is the only thing that counts. I was convinced that, having persevered with him for several seasons, Atleti only decided to offload Felix when they had run out of hope. As a result of my view on Felix I was furious that he. among others, had been included in the CL squad at the expense of Badi.

I was having a chat about Nico with a great bunch of Chelsea fans in Shed lower last night. We all agreed that our club, all clubs for that matter, should buy players not names. Nico looks a player, Felix is a name.

I haven't watched them, but I'm not surprised. Joao is abundantly talented, but he just does not make his teams better. Perhaps he could be a fantastic situational sub for a team like man City, but I've seen no evidence that City have ever seriously considered signing him. If I'm right about that then there is a reason for it.

Not to drag this up again but Atletico are a free scoring side presently with him out of the side. They just handed Rayo Vallecano a 7-0 beat down at home, with Felix sat on the bench.

MOTM was Saul Niguez according to Whoscored, and even Morata scored twice.

La Liga must be piss weak this year LOL
