Surely worst striker in that time has to be Chris Sutton. Anyone got a worse one?

 Robert Fleck, up there somewhere.

That sort of childish behaviour is best left to the London teams with less class, like the one Willian is about to join.

Thanks for the insightful response 🤦‍♂️

I said a few months back that no matter what we offered him, he wouldn't accept it. It was said he wanted two years, we apparently offered it to him and he rejected it anyway. I think he has wanted out for a while now and I am not 100% sure why. Maybe it's because he wants to play with his best friend again, I don't know, but surely it's not because he feels he wouldn't play much for us next season. He has been a regular for us all season, and even with Ziyech joining, I don't think he would be frozen out like Pedro was.

I have never been Willian's greatest fan, I actually think he is one of the most overrated players in the league and he's certainly been one of the most overrated Chelsea players since he joined. I have also never got over his poor professionalism from a few years back, so I wouldn't be disappointed to see him go and I am not surprised that he is the type of player that would be perfectly fine with joining a direct rival.

Willian is a popular person at the club, he is also popular with a chunk of the fanbase too, this will hit hard with those people. That is just how football is. If you join a rival, fans will be upset and angry about it and it will never be forgotten. It's part of the passion of the game. Willian will be joining a club that see's beating his current club as one of the highlights of their season, so of course this isn't going to sit well with fans.

I don't think most will be bothered, unless we puts a hattrick past us.

He was never a great player more a player that had some great moments.

Having only previously offered proper legends of the club one year deals after 30, we decided to offer Willian a lucrative 2 yr deal which apparently upset and offended him.  Farewell Willian once a Blue but no way a legend.

Yes, that is of course totally the reason why I pointed out to you you were getting ahead of the facts and assuming Willian was offended, and not an attempt to get some posters here to be a bit - just a bit, mind - more sensible :face_palm:

Lots of stuff floating around out there so maybe you should let people post without attacking?

Forgot he turns 32 in two days....absolute right decision from Marina not to offer him a three year contract. thanks for your service and good luck at Retirement FC

But this is my entire point: there are only articles in the media, it's hardly a taped interview with all concerned, speaking their minds. People make assumptions, and subsequently they do the attacking. And they also forget footballers are employees like us, albeit much better paid, so like us they are free to make their choices. They don't owe us anything.

And I have as much freedom to post my opions as the people you feel I'm "attacking". It goes both ways.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion, no need for bitchy sarcastic replies. I personally am happy he's gone, i've been up close many times at the bridge and sorry to all his fan boys but he  really doesn't give what they think he does other than a few highlights. Pathetic corner taker, wtf is that all about, 1 in 8 free kicks on target and as for the f**king sulky face and arm waving.

And now this-https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8603853/Willian-upset-offended-Chelsea-ended-Stamford-Bridge-career.html

Just f**k off, no loyalty to anything apart from himself. Once again sorry if any of his fan boys are upset.

Why is it ridiculous?

Granted, he has scored a number of goals for us this season, but most of these were against sub-par Championship level sides and only because our other options were also terrible (aside from Giroud who should have been playing for us 24/7).

Abraham should go out on loan somewhere and then we should sell him when his price goes up. Let Giroud and Werner lead the line next season.

Abraham complains about absolutely everything, gets offside more times than the PM lies, can't pass and has horrendous movement. He is woefully inept as a football player and could do with scrubbing the boots of better players like Azpi.

Don't be so ridiculous...

Why would saying something positive about (still) a Chelsea player make me an Arsenal fan?

Been supporting since '94, and I've never seen a striker worse than Abraham.

Have you forgotten about Morata already? Pato? Falcao? Torres? Pizarro? Kezman? We have had a lot of dud strikers in the Roman Abramovich era, it shouldn't be too hard to remember them.

All better than Abraham. I'd have a coked up Mutu over Abraham anyday.

and yet you rate higher strikers who didn't even deliver that.....so I have to ask.....

Can you show me on the doll where Tammy touched you?  It's ok.  This is a safe space.

He tried to touch me but got caught offside before he could do anything.

edit: least you didn't complain about his first touch...there is hope then!
