I wouldn't sell any of our players to any of our rivals. They wouldn't do the same for us so i don't see why we should keep helping them.

I wouldnt call selling Mata for £38m helping united in anyway. That money helped us far more.

 

If we can get 35m from United then I'd say sell him and get Kante for 25.

i wouldn't sell him to United regardless of the price offered. He might have an important role to play under Conte. Also don't believe the rumor that he asked Conte to leave. I doubt Abramovich will sanction his departure to ManU/ Mourinho

Be staggered if there is anything to these stories. I figured the last manager Matic would want to play for is Jose - Matic was broken almost beyond repair last season and Jose hardly did his best to help him and in fact I thought he may have added to his issues.

 

I think I stated something similar either earlier in this thread, or maybe in the Jose one.  I can't fathom why the press seem so inclined to link Jose with a bunch of players that obviously look like they had a strained relationship with him in the past year at Chelsea.  We've seen Matic, Courtois, and Hazard all mentioned and all 3 of them hugely failed to live up to their potential under Jose last season.  Such a strange story to chase 

This is an interesting one, Matic was one of the players let down Jose badly last season. Remember that mad red card against Westham that cost us the game? Also, it turned out the problem of the double pivot wasn't Cesc, it was Matic. On the other hand, if United wants him, we probably should keep him just for the sake of it. He's still relatively young for the role he plays, so time is on his side. However if that was PSG wanted him, most of us probably wouldn't mind it.

No problem with keeping him but if he wants to leave, he should be sold and for a healthy profit (preferably not to united though).

I don't mind selling him to whomever wants to buy him as long as we have a replacement in place that is an improvement on him. The squad needs some investment and he is one of the players who hasn't been that good and yet can be sold for good money.

We need a couple of new options in central midfield regardless of Matic staying or going. We still haven't replaced Ramires, while RLC and Matic are a couple of wildcards for next season.

I wouldn't sell to anyone in England unless it was a crazy big fee for a below par player.

In regards to Matic he was woeful last season but his first season and a half he was one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe. I'd be wary of letting him join a rival regardless of last season.

Conte seems to be doing that a lot, wouldnt put much stock into it

with rumors that Matic wanted by Juventus if Pogba goes, that's could be either warning off or bidding up price. unless Juve pay up I'm inclined to keep and ship off one of the others (not Nate though - want him given a chance). Or ask for Bonucci in return.
