April 5, 20197 yr There is no reason Ruben isn’t the first choice now with Jorginho and Kante. Barkley and Kovacic produce absolutely nothing. We need goals from everyone and those two can't score for us. Ruben on the other hand made us look quick and he is a constant scoring threat.

April 5, 20197 yr The problem I have with Ruben at the moment is his injury record. Hopefully he can stay fit enough to cement a first team place. However, as soon as he goes on a run of consistent performances he ends up injured and out for 3/4 weeks.
April 5, 20197 yr Sarri: Now tactically [Ruben] Loftus [-Cheek] is a very good midfielder. At the beginning of the season he was a very offensive midfielder. Now he is complete I think. Maybe he’s ready to start most of the games, but we need to check every day the condition of his back. This morning he had only a recovery session. Because he needs time to recover after a match. The problem in this moment is only that probably he’s not able to play for 90 minutes.”
April 8, 20197 yr Dominated the midfield today. Even when he is quiet like he was in the first half, he was effective. He's the first midfielder of his type that we have had since Essien in my opinion. I think he won every battle of strength today. It's not just his strength though, he's excellent on the ball too and often makes the right pass at the right time and the pass is more often than not hit very cleanly too. He's getting better and better and it's a shame that he has only started a few games all season. If he can somehow manage that back of his, then he will surely be a regular starter next season.

RLC Kante and Jorginho is easily our best midfield with the current players we have. You can argue against Jorginho, but he was solid again today. In the last 2 games, our lineups have resulted in him being afforded more time on the ball and it shows his quality much more clearly. RLC was an absolute beast today, so much fun to watch.

I feel Barkley is better suited to the position asked of Kante to play and Ruben is a beast yes absolutely.

Ideally we'd have someone other than Barkley to plug in there. Mount is coming along nicely, I'd like to see that trio.
April 9, 20197 yr Silky player, always looks graceful and composed in possession. Uses his body so well to lean across defenders to get in front of the ball. Definitely should be first choice from now on.

It's too static and too reliant on being able to pick a pass (which is his worst attribute). He'd be wasted there. Jorginho is our best player in that role. Whether it's fashionable to say or not. RLC and Kante are our best two in the other roles. It also allows us the flexibility to move to a 4-2-1-3 when necessary with Kante dropping deeper and RLC taking the number 10 role. If its true that he has a back problem then he will need managed in game time, which I though it was incredibly of some of our crowd last night to boo his substitution.

Anyone is welcome to their opinion specially fans who have forked out for travel, tickets, food etc, it's not like it's cheap. Whether you agree with it or not is upto you but I wouldn't call them thick. Could it not be RLC was having a good game and some fans was enjoying watching him play and didn't want to see him go off, some fans booed, it's not the end of the world.

Yeah and I have the right to call them thick? I know it's not cheap, but when I do all that I don't boo the players and manager in the middle of the game because my favourite player is being rested for the last 20 minutes.

He was our best player on the field before his sub and the game was very much in the balance. I thought it was a risk to take him off. I know we need to manage him well because of his back, but we also needed to get the points last night. Thankfully, the risk with the sub worked in our favour.

They are not thick though are they. It was the substitution being booed, his a young player in form having a good game, I can understand the booing because fans enjoy seeing players like RLC and CHO aswell as Hazard. Much better than watching Kovacic, Willian and Higuain.

He was looking very tired about the 60 minute mark, and West Ham were carving us up at times so a change was needed. It was going to be either RLC, Jorginho or CHO who came off, and I thought he made the right decision. Imagine if he had taken CHO off.....
