All swings and roundabouts really. Cech was very poor from crosses in the box where Tibo dominates them.

In my view he's one of the top 5 keepers in the world and we'll struggle to replace him.

Unpopular view: A growing portion of our fan base dislike him because he's a frank in interviews rather than parroting the usual taking points. The highlighting of his apparent flaws is ultimately linked to that.

Make no mistake I think he is a bit of a prat, but he is still a superb keeper.

Just get this deal now, with no other parties in play, they will rip us off big time. To be honest I'd be happy with Butland, proven EPL player and should have an cheap relegation clause, plus he will take 1 of the HG spot. Alisson looked good in the past 12 months, but if we are going to blow 60M on a player, I prefer not to be a GK

As much as I dislike tibo (really don't think he's that good) this Alison chap seems even worse watched him in the WC and he was bollocks! What about that donnuramma (spelling?!) kid at ac I though he was supposed to be the next best thing or as someone stated above what about butland surely can't be any worse than this Brazilian dude!!!

Pickford should be in the mix if we are looking for replacements.

I don't think he was a shambles. It was hard to judge him really because he wasn't put in a position where we could see the best or worst of him.

He did basically f all until Brazil lost to Belgium.

Chelsea and Real Madrid have been in talks over Thibaut Courtois. No agreement over the fee reached as yet (HLN)

Looking increasingly likely that Courtois will be sold.

If that does happen all you can hope is we get good money for him and don’t have to overspend ourselves on his replacement.

Allison appears to be our first choice, don’t know much about him but seems to be a part of the new trend of wanting keepers who are good with the ball at their feet rather than saving shots and catching crosses.

It wouldnt be tough to squeeze them for £5m more considering their goalkeeping situation. Yes were backs to the wall, but the ball is in our court.

Need as much as we can then spend it on his replacement. That Roma keeper doesn't fill me with confidence though 

Sell Willian and Courtois for 100-110M, get Butland for 30-40M, paid Jorginho's transfer, and a few Ms left.

Same, always seemed like a chore to come back from Madrid and although clearly a decent keeper he lets in a few odd ones.... He also forced the club’s hand to choose him over Cech but then never seemed committed anyway. Poor character imo. 

He’s been like a wet teenager constantly flirting with Madrid. 

Surely he’s worth 50 mill had a decent WC ?

just hope the club has a deal in place for a decent keeper to replace him.

Apparently he’s had a few absolute bowlers for Milan this year and it’s contributed to their poor season. I was just told by a friend, I don’t watch a massive amount of Italian football so can’t confirm or deny it, just throwing it out there if there’s anyone with more info.

I would expect that from an 18 year old, but yes, it would be terribly risky to buy him.  Such potential there though.
