December 3, 201510 yr i think the bigger question is, why are they partying with a gooner? should be ashamed of themselves.
December 3, 201510 yr I don't see the big deal to be honest. Footballers are allowed a life outside of football. Exactly. Remember poor Mutu? Shipped out for a little sniff - just where is this world heading? As long as Costa keeps the booz in the locker and finds his way to the pitch we should give him our unconditional love and support. Having said that, he is such a manchild, I wouldn't be surprised to see him have a pint behind Mourinho on the bench next weekend.
December 3, 201510 yr Honestly, some footballers and other greats, but with great salaries come great responsibilities. I wouldn't see a problem if an office worker has a pint after work, but when it's about football, where physical fitness is everything and where you get paid millions to keep your act together, then going out until 3am during the week is as unprofessional as it gets. They had training sessions the next day! Costa is such a brat though, he probably enjoys being pictured like that just to annoy Mourinho.

December 3, 201510 yr I don’t mind it if it’s at the weekend or when you have a day off the next day. If there was training the next day then all 3 should be disciplined, simple as that. Yeah they deserve a life outside of football but pissing about till 3am during the week is not acceptable as a top flight professional footballer. It’s taking the piss

December 3, 201510 yr We should only judge him when he is at work, either on the pitch, or off it when representing the club in a professional capacity. With that in mind we should refrain from commenting on pictures that come from the cameras of gutter dwellers hanging around the streets late at night. When he threw that bib towards Jose, he made it virtually impossible for the club to keep him and save face, as far as I'm concerned unless he can change his attitude immediately, he should be moved on in January, and dropped from the squad until that time comes. December 3, 201510 yr The thing with Costa is he himself about a month ago said he was aware he is not at the level he should be and could lose a few pounds. He said he would address it... Being pictured coming out a club at 3am during the week doesn't give me the impression he's true to those words. He doesn't make it easy for himeself Edited December 3, 201510 yr by Chelsbear
December 3, 201510 yr I am outraged .................this is an absolute scandal ............well out of order .........how the f**k did all 3 get in wearing trainers .........absolute joke door staff these days ................
December 3, 201510 yr That's nice not to see Terry, Cahill, Azpi, Matic, Ivanovic in these pictures, they show some professional class. I'm not against clubs, but for me it's kind of unprofessionalism. Club isn't safe place, always gain troubles. As a coach I'm telling this to my team. Edited December 3, 201510 yr by IliyaKrostin
December 3, 201510 yr Why are some only attacking Costa over this ? I see Ramires and Kenedy there too. Like i said though, it's not a big deal. It's not like they do this every week, it was a one off. I don't care that they are footballers with high wages, they are allowed a life. It's not just a few Chelsea players that do this, players at every club do it.
December 3, 201510 yr Pretty sure it's been confirmed now the entire squad were on a night out, with José's blessing. To be honest, something like that might be perfect to sort Diego's head out.
December 3, 201510 yr Pretty sure it's been confirmed now the entire squad were on a night out, with José's blessing. To be honest, something like that might be perfect to sort Diego's head out. I read the same reports, it's another case of overreaction, after the media tried to get players in to trouble and make the club look bad, typical nonsense from the British press, we shouldn't lay in to our players because of the stupid press.
December 4, 201510 yr Nothing changed with the subs JM made. Cesc going off for Costa WOULD have changed the shape and who knows what might have happened. We do have to try and win games. unless of course you are happy to finish mid-table ? Considering how Costa started so many games vs weaker opponents and still could not score I dont see any evidence that the out of form Costa will score against an in form Spurs. I agree with you that we do have to win games - And to that we need players who are all giving it their 100% in offense and defense and teamwork.
December 4, 201510 yr Out of the 3 of them, I think Kenedy is the least culpable. It's his first season as a player at a big club and earning very good money i assume. Also I would imagine if he was invited out by first team regulars he would jump at the chance to integrate himself in the team more. Costa and Ramires, however, should definitely be sanctioned. Players are allowed to have a life and go out for a drink but to stay out til 3am before training is shocking, especially given the predicament the club is in this season. Both Ramires and Costa have come out with statements about working hard, supporting the manager etc. Just words...If Mourinho was photo'd like this, he would no doubt be sacked on the spot. Im sure he is true to his word and working hard to turn us around, these players are letting him down big time.
December 4, 201510 yr Really? I didnt read that. If so, then it seems like a strange decision. And the fact that they were the only 3 photographed suggests that they stayed beyond curfew.I dont know the whole situation, but I very much doubt Mourinho gave anyone permission to be out til 3am before training in the morning
December 4, 201510 yr I was about to complain, but after my meeting on weds i got locked and struggled through Thursday hungover Still, pot calling something black or whatever
December 4, 201510 yr Mourinho have them permission to have their Xmas party this week, not during the congested Xmas fixtures, it was a nonsense story and shows people really should reign in their dislike of certain players. Jumping all over them before they even knew the full story.
December 4, 201510 yr Author Mourinho is understood to have sanctioned a Christmas night out for his players on Wednesday. The entire first-team squad duly dined in a restaurant together before moving on to two nightclubs, with almost all leaving for home in the early hours. Costa and his team-mates all reported on time on Thursday and trained fully, completing the side’s session. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/03/chelsea-thibaut-courtois-return-bournemouth-knee-lay-off-diego-costa But y'know let's rage on Diego some more, apparently it's all the rage right now.
December 4, 201510 yr I wonder if some of the frustration at seeing Diego out until 3 am partying, permission or not, is due to Diego's recent appearance of lack of respect to the club/manager/team and his performances of late that scream " Dont really care about playing football here". Considering the context, mega rich players performing well below value (worst in decades) whilst their fans (agonized by the terrible season and many not in good economic cheer) are unhappy..... it's pretty foolish to have public displays of merriment until 3 am. If I was the manager/shot caller, I'd of made all the proceeds that would go towards a Christmas event be given to charity. I think that would have sent a strong message to the fans and the players, this is not a time for parties for anyone at CFC. Some of these players are stealing their salaries this season, why should they be given a party? Again, I think it entirely understandable for fans to be upset at these pictures. Christmas or not, and perhaps Willian aside, no one on the benches at CFC should be having any reason to party until 3 am until they are atleast in the top f**king half of the table. Could buy whole BPL clubs that are ahead of us in the table with the annual team salary this club pays.....
December 4, 201510 yr F me, they are only human, why shouldn't they go out on the lash for Xmas? they get zero time off to celebrate unlike us lot
December 5, 201510 yr My issue is nothing to do with him clubbing. its him being an absolute disgrace this season.
December 5, 201510 yr They didn't look pissed in the pic's to me. Hardly out on the lash. Just because they got (over) paid for playing football doesn't mean they shouldn't have a life.
