November 29, 201510 yr Sell him in January. Bring in around 30M. Buy Morata. Trouble is with his performances and attitude so far this season, who'd pay that amount for him?. (Plus his dodgy Hamsting?).
November 29, 201510 yr Meanwhile, Lukaku has what...10 PL goals this year. How dare you? He is not good enough.
November 29, 201510 yr Meanwhile, Lukaku has what...10 PL goals this year. doesn't matter. wrong attitude.
November 29, 201510 yr So let's see, he's overweight and disinterested, he was rightly banned for three games for his embarrassing carry-on against Arsenal, he's been sh*t all season, we score the opener on Tuesday and instead of celebrating with his teammates he turns around and starts a fight with one of our opponents, he's basically more interested in having a bit of argy bargy than playing, he fails to warm up with the rest of the squad before the match today, clearly he feels he's too good to be sub, his warm up towards the end of the match on the touchline was embarrassing, most strikers would be chomping at the bit to come on with ten minutes to go with the game a stalemate, he throws his bib off in an act of petulance, which is particularly galling given all the turmoil this season and the need for unity. Anyone excusing his behaviour today needs to look at themselves. He doesn't give a f**k about Chelsea. Attitudes like his can spread like wildfire. We need to get rid as soon as possible. Sell him in January. Bring in around 30M. Buy Morata. Think there is a good chance he starts our next game against Bournemouth personally. I highly doubt we sell him in January, who would buy him?
November 29, 201510 yr Must be hard for him. In his head he knows that his body is not capable of what it was before the recurring hamstring problems. The search for the next Drogba continues.
November 29, 201510 yr Must be hard for him. In his head he knows that his body is not capable of what it was before the recurring hamstring problems. The search for the next Drogba continues. Yeah...I do not see there being another Drogba any time soon. We never found another Zola. We just changed our game and became an incredible team without him. Drogba was one of the greatest strikers in Premier League history, if not European history. He was not one of the bottle, as Jose might say.

November 30, 201510 yr But why didn't we bring him on?Poor behavior sure, but hes the striker, its 0-0.. I think Mourinho was trying to prove a point about his own leadership and his own status, which is petty if you ask me and constitutes putting himself and the ego ahead of the team.. which is the same thing we've been saying Costa is doing.
November 30, 201510 yr sorry but I disagree. Costas form warrants dropping. And the whole refusing to warm up properly and throwing his bib is rather embarrassing. He's not acting like someone who wants to pull on a blue shirt.
November 30, 201510 yr Must be hard for him. In his head he knows that his body is not capable of what it was before the recurring hamstring problems. The search for the next Drogba continues. We will never replace drogba. With current set of midfielders I think we should be looking for different type of forward to drogba altogether.
November 30, 201510 yr Cant see Chelsea unloading him and Falcao in January and bringing in 2 better replacements (otherwise there's no point), be very lucky just to ship Falcao out imo. Don't know what Falcao's loan terms are, why would Monaco want him back, hes woeful worst than Costa. Can see Costa going back to AM perhaps in January, but not for what Chelsea paid for him, in fact a lot less. On the plus side his goals went a long way to getting the title last year and maybe that's all he's ever gonna be a one season wonder. Lots of matches coming back and we will defo see him start again before then anyway. Hope he can take a long hard look in the mirror and change his poor attitude, I am ok with the whole tough guy act, but now there's no longer a plus side to it, is it really worth continuing with Diego?

Basically, they don't.
November 30, 201510 yr Shipping him out is the stupidest I've heard in a while. He needs to get his act straight and start scoring goals. Maybe a healthy competition would do good.

December 1, 201510 yr Costa allegedly skipped the post match warm up, went straight to the team bus and sat in it alone for 30 minutes lol...
December 1, 201510 yr But why didn't we bring him on? Poor behavior sure, but hes the striker, its 0-0.. I think Mourinho was trying to prove a point about his own leadership and his own status, which is petty if you ask me and constitutes putting himself and the ego ahead of the team.. which is the same thing we've been saying Costa is doing. No one apart from Barcelona succeed in playing with no striker. We have tried and failed before. Yes Costa deserved to be dropped but surely at 0-0 with say 15 mins to go, tell him to get on and PROVE he warrants playing otherwise Remy gets a chance against Bournemouth (which i believe will now happen!) The game needed him. I still think we might have snatched it had he come on regardless of who might have scored the winner!!
December 1, 201510 yr I doubt he will start this weekend, unless he makes an apology and show lots more commitment in training. I suppose Jose could have thrown him on with 10 to go, maybe he just didn't fancy Costa would make a difference. At least Costa wanted to play, if that's a positive.
December 1, 201510 yr This is more like it. Please no Adebayor, Van Persie, Berihino etc. They'll be just another waste of money.

The game needed him. I still think we might have snatched it had he come on regardless of who might have scored the winner!! If they had him, then they need to have removed one of the other attacking 4 - Oscar, Pedro, Hazard, Willian. Of those Oscar has creativity and defensively tracks back, Pedro defends for the team, Hazard is making smart runs and if lucky could have gotten one and Willian is in the form of his life. Removing one of them and bringing on Costa who is slow, neither contributing defensively to the team nor scoring goals nor assisting in holdup play against a pacy team is asking for an invitation for trouble. Mourinho made the right call. We looked more creative with those 4. Fabergas had a bad game as usual and you may have a case for subbing him for Costa. But I would prefer that if we take off Fabergas it is for RLC or Kennedy (And alter our formation ofcourse). Costa has not done enough to warrant being a starter and i am glad that Mourinho is recognizing that and is trying to right the ship.
December 2, 201510 yr Remy is back this weekend and I expect him to start vs Bournmouth (he should grab a brace) Costa needs sitting on that bench a wee while longer
December 2, 201510 yr 'Chelsea's Diego Costa could be heading back to La Liga, with former side Atletico Madrid ready to activate a £28m release clause in the 27-year-old Spanish striker's contract.'Don't see why would would have allowed such a low release clause in his contract, as that's pretty much what we signed him for, but I'm sure some people would be happy if this were true.
December 2, 201510 yr I'm sure some people would be happy if this were true. I think the happiest person would be Costa. Never in the history of football has it been so obvious a player is angling for a move.
December 2, 201510 yr I think the happiest person would be Costa. Never in the history of football has it been so obvious a player is angling for a move. His 'angling for a move' is costing us a place in the CL next year. He's taking the piss out of his employers who pay him MILLIONS, and yet the employer allows it to continue, who's the fool ? Look at how Mikel reacted to the bib throw, you can bet that is how most of the squad will react to his antics on the training pitch. We don't need a home sick joker up front, GET RID !! No matter the financial cost. Edited December 2, 201510 yr by coco
December 2, 201510 yr It must also demoralise the likes of Remy who is champing at the bit to play then seeing Costa start ahead of him despite doing nothing of note for months. He thinks he’s too good to warm up with the subs, half arsed effort when he does then when he’s told to sit back down he throws his bib about like a moron. No wonder we are where we are when we have guys like him in the dressing room, it’s petulant and utterly unprofessional. He’s tubby, unfit and lacks discipline. Send him back to Spain ASAP and get someone in who deserves to play for this club.
