I wonder who the strongest drinker in the squad is... my money's on Ivanovic.

Watching him trying to cross the ball makes me want a drink.

Has been a great a servant for the club, but should be nowhere near the starting XI.

Im not sure what kind of footballer you are just, but if I was given a bet of who could put in a better cross between you or Ivan. Id put my money on you all day

Who's the alternative? Rahman, despite his quality of crossing (seemingly with both feet) wasn't exactly the bastion of defensive solidity today.

Yeah Rahman really isnt that good. I think hes better then Ivan, but not by much. Shame we sold, Luis Felipe he would have fit perfectly

Maybe young Aina?....Nevermind what am I thinking silly me...

I was at the game yesterday but didn't see the incident too clearly as I was on the other side and I haven't watched it back on television. I'm taking about Costa's booking and his angry reaction. He stomped over to the ref and I was worried for a second he was going to headbutt him, at which point the ref called the captain over to him, no doubt to impress upon him that Costa was walking a tightrope.

Costa has to be careful. An act of indiscipline and a less lenient ref on Wednesday and we could be a man down, assuming he plays of course. We were better with a striker up top, but physically and mentally Costa seems all at sea and I'd be tempted to play Remy up top.

Having said that I'm sure Costa will start, along with all the usual suspects.

Movement was much better, and worked hard, still have no confidence at all when he's through on goal though, he rarely even manages to get a shot away, either out-paced or out-muscled.

To be honest, what I just wrote sounds very much like what I was constantly writing about Torres as well.

Shame about the pathetic yellow. He just can't help himself.

He was on a personal mission from José, I had a good chuckle myself (although admittedly that was because I initially thought Casillas had been booked for diving).

I repeat, Torres wouldn't have been as involved as Costa was last night...not saying his performance was great, two wasted chances to score means he doesn't deserve that privilege....but still surprised so many took such a negative slant when Costa played a key role on both our goals and in our improved performance overall...I saw more reasons to be optimistic about him than pessimistic

Costa's work rate and desire last night was first class but he still looks low on confidence in terms of shooting ability!

He isn't a technically gifted player but his work rate and effort to get into the right positions always made him a potent goalscoring threat last season. We need to see that desire and effort consistently for the rest of the season if we are to have a good run of form.

So did I.

He has been very Torresy of late. Even through on goal with an empty net, you expect him to somehow mess it up.

At least he made some good runs and kept the defenders occupied.

Torresy....what a horrible insult to hurl at a player :-)

Say what you like but Costa hasn't attained Torres Stature as a Striker, (Pre Chelsea of course) and one or Four sublime moments in our Blue!!!

Costa has admitted fault in the 'bib incident' but says it is in the past:

"The bib is in the past. I made a mistake but my relationship with Mourinho is amazing, we get on really well.

"There are things you need to control but the bib thing was an impulse."
