September 27, 201510 yr Well, this was inevitable. According to WAGNH, Florentino Perez wants to sign Hazard and is willing to sell either Ronaldo or Bale to fund the move: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/9/27/9404067/chelsea-fc-transfer-news-eden-hazard-real-madrid Judging that Hazard's just signed a new contract, Florentino will have to sell both to afford him!
September 27, 201510 yr Looks close to useless at the moment anyway, pretty sure he's our highest earner so we need a season like he had last year EVERY season to justify the cost.
September 27, 201510 yr it's according to the sunday times, don't know how reliable they are but probably just a random bogus story but if it's true, bale + money
September 27, 201510 yr As Jose said if Real Madrid want Hazard badly enough they should pay 300m. His form might be poor now but class is permanent.
September 27, 201510 yr They can still dreaming. Like Jezz said above: " his form might be poor now, but CLASS IS PERMANENT"
September 27, 201510 yr Sell us Bale on the cheap and they can have Hazard sign a Chelsea shirt for them.
September 28, 201510 yr Bale and Varane for Hazard. Oh, and FSW to get sacked on the day of the contract signing.
September 28, 201510 yr Prefer to keep him out of principle but ultimately wouldn't be too fussed if we got £100m for him.
September 28, 201510 yr Bale and Varane for Hazard on the proviso that we've already signed Reus as replacement.
September 28, 201510 yr Blimey - i'd be biting their hand off to swap Eden for Bale! Only 2 years between them...
September 28, 201510 yr We laugh it off but ultimately I would not be surprised to see eden as the galactico signing for them 1 summer.
September 28, 201510 yr He can go for 100 million. Once they realise he doesn't score many goals the madristas will get bored. At which point we buy him back for 40m and pair him up with Bale who we spent the most of the initial fee on.
September 28, 201510 yr We should sell him for 100 million and then give Marin his place in the team...
September 28, 201510 yr In my opinion, this will happen. Ronaldo is getting older and having less of an effect on their games. He'll be 31 next year and Madrid may look to cash in with PSG and United interested.
September 28, 201510 yr Yeah Ronaldo is an absolute specimen. He could easily remain at the top until he's 34/35. Unbelievably fit. Hazard/Reus is the ideal replacement. Varane and Reus as replacements and we are absolutely sorted.
September 28, 201510 yr Amazing that this has surfaced, when immediately after the Newcastle game I saw people tweeting "cash in on Eden this summer." To be honest, I think he may look to move elsewhere in the next season or two, and if Real are seriously interested then it's either going to take a large sum of money, or a good chunk of money and a player. Right now, even if he is under-performing, he's still an exceptional player. Need to stop being so damn greedy at times when dribbling, and needs to take a shot sooner too. He can be frustrating when he slows down to invite a defender onto him, just so he can dance around him.
September 28, 201510 yr Real Madrid wanting hazard isn't news...said all along it's a matter of when and not if...still we will make a fortune and get to reinvest in someone else..whether we can buy another jewel is another thing altogether
September 29, 201510 yr In my opinion, this will happen. Ronaldo is getting older and having less of an effect on their games. He'll be 31 next year and Madrid may look to cash in with PSG and United interested. You joking aren't you? He's scored something like 7 goals in the last 2/3 games. The guy is still an animal, no matter where he plays. I would take Ronaldo at Chelsea even now, he's that much of a game changer.
September 29, 201510 yr Hazard is a surprising one considering he's not going to replace Ronaldo. At the moment he wouldn't even replace Bale. Hazard "can" be great, but he's too inconsistent at the moment. It's a question of who we would bring in if he went.
September 29, 201510 yr Come to think of it, this should happen but when is the question. I think it depends on how successful we are in the near future. If we are winning just the league and/or domestic cups then Eden will probably leave in another two years. However, if we were to win the CL within the next two seasons, I genuinely believe he will stay with us for a slightly longer duration depending on how we defend that CL title. However, there are still many factors to be considered at Madrid's side. Who knows, maybe Odegaard becomes a goal scoring machine (lol) and they don't see the need to buy Eden anymore. Or maybe FSW gets to keep his job till then (is that even possible?) and signs a lamp post instead. Oh, and Reus (26 if I'm not wrong) is about two years older than Eden. I don't think signing someone close to their 30s by then will benefit us in the long term. I'd rather trust young players like Kenedy, Traore or even buy back Thorgan to replace Eden if he leaves. Hopefully, all goes well in the future.
