To move aside from the 'Will Jose be sacked?' debate (which I seriously hope not), I thought I'd throw a quick poll together.

Let's be honest with ourselves, where do you think Chelsea will finish this season? This season has so far has been a complete disaster, nobody will disagree with that, so let's get our heads together to see where we think we'll end up.

For me, the title has gone. Technically it's still on but forget it, that's not happening this year. I also think our top four status is now in serious jeopardy. I still believe we can do it but the team need to pull their finger out immediately and the board need spend some money in the January window to do it. Especially around the defence and midfield. More so, we need some strong characters, the team look so mentally weak right now. I really do believe the loss of Cech and Drogba has been a huge loss to the team, even if it wasn't on the pitch.

I don't think we'll finish in the bottom half and definitely don't think we'll be relegated but while it's still mathematically possible then it needs to be an option.

It depends on when something drastic happens, he has played mostly the same team in the league now for 2 months and the performance has been the same throughout bar one game - Arsenal.

Sad to say but 'something drastic' also includes changing managers, or maybe they suddenly start playing like the Champions following the next break.

We have quality players and I can't imagine us seriously playing like this for an entire season, either Jose or Roman/the board won't allow it. It may change from something behind the scenes or via the Jan transfer window.

I wouldn't rule out winning the title because I've seen teams go on ridiculous runs to achieving their aims when I thought it was impossible, but my vote goes to a top 4 finish.

It's so hard to say, we look a mess right now.

If we don't change a few players, the tactics and style of play, then i can't see things improving that much and i don't think we will finish in the top 4. If we do change these things then i think we will make the top 4.

If we make changes now we can still make top 4 by Christmas, it's only 7 point gap atm.

But only if Jose has faith in dropping his golden boy signing Cesc, and his ever obedient vice captain Ivanovic.

Well last time we started a league season so badly we got relegated, or so I heard on the match commentary.

I expect us to avoid that fate, but I do not expect us to be in the champions league next season.

Said it before the season began and Im stickin to it, not bothered if we dont win trophies as long as the young players play and develop. If RLC and either Kennedy or Traore are starting next season because we dont HAVE to win every weekend to keep pace, its not the worst thing in the world

Dont expect us to finish top 4, I think ee may squeak in, but there is a bright side to no CL next season. We concentrate on the 3 other competitions and squad selection isnt limited because we have a game in Greece mid week.

Mourinho will be dismissed as Chelsea flirts with the relegation zone. The new manager will galvanise the team and Chelsea will end up in the top 4.

IMO, I'm pretty confident that we will be in the top 4 come May.

Something to think about, could this season be similar to this?

I think at this stage we will be lucky to finish in the top 4. I think it will only happen if Jose changes things like formation and stop playing out of form players.

Hard to say, we look terrible right now - relegation terrible.

Every week that passes, and we don't improve the top 4 drifts away a little bit further.

Right now we can make top 4 still, about 7 or 8 players need to up it a couple of gears, and Jose needs to drop players who aren't doing it, Ivan, Cesc etc.

I feel no immediate danger of not making it in the top 4 so that's the minimum, in fact top 3 is the minimum, 4th place is hardly luxury for the CL spot nowadays..

The season is still young so I'll still be gunning for the big one, the epl title and cl..

True, at the moment, nothing to suggest we would get anywhere near the top half of the table but we still have one of the best squad in the world, our piss poor situation got a lot more to do with off the pitch problem than on it so once that's tackled, we should be ok.. when it will be solved? it's anybody guess..

I think this season we'll possibly be relegated, we'll fall out with our sponsers, Roman will  get pissed off and leave, half our fanbase will be wearing City shirts and we'll be hoping for a play off place in 2017.

Either that or we'll keep the best manager we ever had and get this sorted out.

I think we will achieve top four, but there's a good chance we'll need to achieve top three for Champions League football unless English teams buck their ideas up in Europe.

Quite ironic if that does happen seeing as we are the ones who have done to most for England's coefficient in Europe.

I would be happy with a top half finish based on the current showings, anything else would be a bonus.

Just read no team has ever finished above 5th after only 8 points from 1st 8 games.

Really worrying statistic although, has a team with as much quality as ours ever started so badly?

I think arsenal, United and city will be impossible to catch at this point. I'm hoping Liverpools new gaffer picks up from where rodgers left and they have a poor season. It's going to be difficult but not impossible to pinch 4th place, we realistically need to put a decent winning streak together of 4 or 5 wins, to put us back in contention.
