Agree to a point Axman but the going and sitting on the bus that time left a sour taste and requesting to not get picked today is weak, if true.

Not wanting to risk his move with an injury makes sense. In reality there was no way he was getting ahead of Chilly and Cucu, so whoever in his camp that leaked this is still showing disrespect, and I don't see why.  Don't get me wrong Alonso has served us well but let's not forget his CV before us had Bolton and Sunderland on it. He owes a fair amount to Chelsea

Aye but am chosing to remember the good moments from him, he is not Lukaku after all.

On serious note, once this will become official, I'd be thanful to him for everything he has done here! Good spell in Chelsea, had some great moments, had some bad moments but overall he was our best option in LWB position and put some great performances. 

Eventhough he sometimes was a bit frustrating to watch defensively, I’ve always considered him to be a valuable member of our squad and he has been a top professional (except for the Lampard bus incident).

 

going to miss him, has been a great servant to the club and a victory over spurs would be the most appropriate send off for him.

Had a really good knack at arriving in the box at the right time and sweet peg on him. Legs went a long time ago mind you and now it’s the right time for him to move on. Wish him the best!

Well because that club wants to get 10million+.  Why should the club and Alonso risking that deal. 

One of the most unique players we have had in our recent history, I mean sure there has been this very known profile of left footed players that go forward and that have a lot of power and curve in their shot but for the PL to have a 6'2 full back with a great finishing ability and that is also great at set pieces, not many teams could say they had such a player.

Although he had his physical limitations, great technically especially up top. Been with us for a long time and contributed at important times. We arent a poisoned fanbase like other clubs. Well done and thanks for everything.

So how is that move to Barca going? Not playing, not training too apparently while waiting for the move, week 3 or is it 4 now? 

Still being paid I assume? What will he do if they don't come through and why is he not included in the Auba talks?

Ornstein reporting that Barcelona have cooled their interest because they can't even register Kounde, let alone another new player.

So Alonso really messed that one up didn't he by refusing to play and train. No sympathy whatsoever from me. Terrible player and sh*t attitude and if he stays he can enjoy his time with the development squad and watch his world cup chances melt away.

For me either Barca take Alonso or we pull out of the Auba deal and leave them unable to register Kounde without selling De Jong.

I saw a picture this week on the club's app that has Alonso training with the group. At least I think it's him. Wise to stay fit, either preparing for Barfelona or for us.
