August 29, 20223 yr Definitely worth a try if we fail our strikers pursuit, I'm sure he's capable to press as well as score a few goals.

August 30, 20223 yr with all the experimenting we’ve done with Thomas at charge why the f**k not try Alonso as a striker now we’ve depleted our attacking options to bare minimum. He just knows how to score with both feet and head. and he won’t have to sprint back bat crazy.

He has one of the best techniques when shooting at the club, so use it.
August 30, 20223 yr The problem with Tommy is that he hasn’t got the bottle to try things! Put Alonso up top and Kepa in for one game, if it doesn’t work out, well then we’ll know going forward!

"What the f**k was Tuchel doing putting Alonso up front in the first place"

He is the only one in the squad that seems to have an eye for goal, and you know he is always going to be between the posts rather than tracking back.

September 1, 20223 yr An absolutely hilarious player who had a bizarre complement of skills. Frequently came up "clutch" and provided so many individual moments which will live long in the memory. Won every trophy going with Chelsea (apart from the League Cup) and was a key, key part of the 2016/17 side which battered a league which featured Guardiola, Klopp and Mourinho, all of whom arguably had better squads than we did. I'll miss him a lot. Hope he's rubbish for Barcelona though.

That 2016/17 title win is incredibly underrated, from 10th the season before to 1st with 93 points, I really think the clubwould be in a different position if we had backed Conte
September 1, 20223 yr From a purely sentimental and selfish perspective, the only time I've ever [successfully] started a song at a match was the Marcos Alonso song at Leicester away in the FA Cup (presumably 2018).
September 1, 20223 yr Now is 100% the right time for Alonso to leave, but he has been a decent player for us over the last 6 years. He has scored some very important and very good goals for us and been a part of some very successful seasons. Good luck (though not really as I hope Barca crash and burn at the earliest opportunity) and thank you for Tottenham away!
September 1, 20223 yr Ocassionally infuriating, no pace at all, never should have been a left back, some abysmal performances (6-0 City), our best striker since Costa, loved a goal against Spurs, crucial for our winning the EPL back in 2017. The ultimate love/hate player, think he got more hate than deserved. Far surpassed expectations when he signed, but definitely for the best he's moved on. All the best Marcos
September 1, 20223 yr Marcos, You frustrated the goddamn bejesus out of me so many matchdays! But, at the same time, you had some of the biggest goals at the club and won so many great things during your time at Chelsea. On your day, you could arguably be the most dangerous LWB in world football going forward. On your worst, well, it was bad; few players were as polarizing as you were. But, your contributions to Chelsea FC should not be forgotten. You won an FA Cup, Europa League, Premier League and Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup. I wish you well in Barcelona and hope you add a La Liga trophy to your trophy case. Given the fact that Chelsea and Barcelona clashed so many times this transfer window, I can't wait to see you and the rest of the Barcelona squad when we are inevitably drawn against each other in the round of 16. Good luck going forward and thank you for the vast memories you provided during your time in London! THANK YOU, MARCOS!!
September 1, 20223 yr Tottenham probably the happiest club now he’s gone he was a nightmare for them.
September 2, 20223 yr Good luck Marcos and thanks for exceeding our expectations during your Chelsea career.
September 2, 20223 yr Always polarised fans, but I think the good outweighs the bad with him. At the end of his Chelsea career he achieved 212 appearances and 29 goals.
