The change of profile pic on Twitter is a bad sign.

Why would he go out of his way to hurt the supporters of the club where he broke through?

Or maybe it's his way of thanking them?  I think Monaco were (seemingly) a little pissed off at him tweeting all that sh*te ahead of anything being actually finalized.

Why in the name of f**king hell have we given him an extension? He is never going to make it here. He's already 23. Just sell him for crying out loud.

Why on Earth are you, or any of the people who liked your post? even the slightest bit bothered about this?

I don't know if you are one of them, but there is a group of people who have managed to brainwash themselves into believing that they are supremely clever, while everyone who works for Chelsea is a moron. This fits a certain narrative, but it does not fit the truth of course.

The club, as well as Lucas and everyone connected with him, knows that the young Brazilian has no future at Chelsea. Even so, all parties signed off on this deal.  Why is this? It could be that they forgot to ask you, and so failed to realise they are making a terrible mistake, or  perhaps they know something you don't. Something which makes the two-year extension the most sensible solution.

I know which of those options my money is on, and I'm pretty sure that if your life depended on it, you'd put your money on the same option I would.

Mate, it's the same every year (and I don't mean from Zeta, I just mean in general).  There are forum/internet/twitter "experts" who want to fire the board....yes, the same board that has won us 2 premierships in the last three seasons ("but...if they'd backed Jose in his second season, we could have won three in a row" they cry...dealing in absolute hypothetical).

These same people are the ones who clamber to believe every story about our opposition signing players XYZ.  They'll claim that "we're not acting fast enough," or that we are "being left behind," etc.  And yet, when none of those rumours materialize they'll say nothing about the oppositions boards failing to land their players.  Look, don't get me wrong, sometimes the way we do business does baffle me.  But I don't know what's already agreed between us and other clubs, and nor does anyone on this forum.

Emenalo OUT...MARIA OUT.  Give me a break.  We seem to be avoiding paying over the odds for players, which has been our MO for the last few seasons, so why should we be like City or Milan who are spending insane amounts of money?  I think those days for Chelsea are passed,  Maybe one "marquee" signing now and then?

Sadly, there are people who will never be pleased.  They want instant gratification.  One bad game...should never have bought them.  Moses stupidly dives and gets sent off....SELL HIM!!!

The Silly Season.  If you're ever going to learn anything about it, it's that the journos and all these stories are just as big a guess work as most of us could come up with.

We are a big club, we will be linked with everyone.  Then if we don't sign them (for example, Douglas Costa we were linked with a season or so ago and it never materialized) and they go to another team, it's easy for the press to cover their arses by saying that the player "snubbed" Chelsea.

The f**k are you talking about, you've made some pretty big leaps there. He is what, 23/24 now? Never shown anywhere near enough promise for the first team. Signing a new contract when both parties clearly know that its just to try and add another million to his sale value, is such a waste of time. Chalobah had the balls to say no to the bigger wages and go find a career for himself, piazon presumably isn't as interested.

The whole point of this forum is for fans to discuss everything related to the club, everyone is entitled to their opinions, whether you like them or not.

To be honest, I didn't know Bakayoko that well before Chelsea were after him.
Now I think he's an absolute scumbag who purposfully plays with people's emotions.
And I love it.

I don't, it's annoying, according to his Twitter he's failed the medial and returning to Monaco, f**k knows what's going on.

Spot on, I said the same about Piazon, I'm not sure why a few people want to get their high horse about it. He'll never make it, he gets loaned out every season and it's the same this season, now apparently we're not clever enough to realise why he's been loaned out, horse crap. Loaning him back to Fulham is going to increase his value? I don't think so, but I guess we're not allowed to criticise the board.

First of all, this is a huge leap from  Bakayoko and even Lucas. You're also profiling and blanket shaming people when everyone have their own view of things

The board deserves criticism and plaudits. They did not win us 2 trophies the past 3 seasons, the players did. The board's job is to essentially appoint and supply the head coach the players necessary for him to win. This board have shown time and again that they get complacent every time we win a title. If they deserve the praise for getting us 2 PL then they also deserve criticism when the season before last where we wound up at 10th after being embroiled in the physio fiasco and flirting with relegation at one point. So if the team wins the PL, the board does a great job but if we get 10th, the coach is the only that gets sacked?

We might not fall behind yet but we have shown signs of it. To date, we have only brought in 1 GK and 1 CB while selling various players who can act as covers. The squad is barely satisfying the HG quota and we now have a shortage in midfielders, fullbacks and forwards so it is normal for fans to have legitimate concerns and misgivings so why should fans bother looking up rivals when we ourselves are in a mess? Heck, even the coach isn't tied down to a contract.

Emenalo and Marina (idk who Maria is) should be chewed out right now. Fans don't know the extent of negotiations but at this point they all look bleak. Bakayoko is taking far far longer than it should, A. Sandro has been getting harder and harder to secure, strikers are still not signed when preseason is around the corner despite the fact that it has been weeks since the Conte-Costa fiasco. Not paying over the odds is fine when you can get quality players for cheap but what good is it to have money in the bank when the squad is so thin right now? Why let players go when the squad is in need of cover? Why pennypinch when the whole world knows the state of our squad? Our squad looks bleaker by the day.

Instant gratification or whatever is just your own repressed opinion.

The silly season is what it is, everyone knows that.

We are a big club, it's time we act like it. We have a month now before the season starts, no more of this pennypinch nonsense if it means we're going to struggle when the season starts. I agree that this situation could be worse but people and especially the board shouldn't forget the 15/16 season just because Conte instilled belief and positivity alongside finding a system that worked. Sacking and signing another manager won't get us out of trouble everytime and we're running out of WC coaches
