The way the defender puts his leg across him though, it's easy to see why the referee gave it at full speed.

I agree, i don't blame the ref on this one, i blame Alli for cheating. Kane and Alli are always given the benefit of the doubt, but when it's a Chelsea player, it's just assumed that it is a dive. It's crazy, we don't even have a player in the squad that has a reputation for being a diver. Pedro is the closest and it happens probably once a season.

I have noticed something though. In Europe, we tend to get fouls and penalties that refs in England refuse to give to us and Tottenham don't get the soft decisions that they get in the domestic competitions.

I'm sticking by what i have been saying for a while now, the refs in this country are biased in favour of certain English players. Alli and Kane are this generations Gerrard and Rooney.

imagine if that was us tonight who drew against rochdale. it would be talk after talk about conte's future. however because spurs drew with juventus midweek, it's okay lol.

Costa just had to sneeze funny and it was back page/sky sports breaking news...alli is a serial offender and either nothing is said or he's defended to the hilt

It'd be a lot easier to discard your post as a tin foil hat wearing rant if it wasn't for the fact nobody even blinked an eye when Clattenburg came out and basically admitted to a form of match fixing in the favour of Spurs against Chelsea.

It's incredible how this has been completely brushed under the carpet, it's never been mentioned since. If this had been done to Liverpool, utd, arsenal etc sky and the newspapers would have had it back page for weeks.

That is true, and Pedro rightly got banned for diving. The question is why is Dele Ali getting away with it again.

Interestingly, there have been many "simulations" taken place since Pedro got banned, but I don't think anyone else been retrospectively banned. I could be wrong.

Pedro wasn't banned for the dive, I think his accumulation of yellows was why he was banned (just happens that simulation was the deciding punishment).

I'm more irked about Morata's booking in the Norwich match. We've seen much softer penalties given since that incident and even after the Spurs game the Rochdale manager Keith Hill was throwing out the "has a right to go down" defence.

"If a centre-forward or midfield player feels as though there is a penalty opportunity to be gained - brilliant," said Hill, 48.

"Whether it is Dele Alli, Steve Davies, Ian Henderson, Andy Cannon, it doesn't really matter."

The frustration is that we've had a couple of very legitimate penalty claims this season only for our players to be booked for simulation. I would argue Morata has himself to blame cause he's definitely getting a reputation for going down too easy (just in general, not just in the box) but then Ali is doing this sort of thing in almost every game now and yet is getting away with it more often than not.

Just curious if anyone else heard the song Man Utd fans were singing this weekend away at Huddersfield. It was something like "we're all equal" and "different rules for Man City"

I'm guessing they're singing about FFP and Man City

Did you not see the headlines from BBC & Sky about it?

They tried to paint Tottenham the victim, here are both the headlines.

Yeah, it wasn't a case of Tottenham being given any leniency while injuring our players and potentially ending their careers. It was just Mark Clattenberg letting Tottenham self-destruct, how evil of him for doing that to Tottenham, I can truly see how Tottenham were the victims from his refereeing despite 0 red cards. (Notice how it says he booked 9 Tottenham players but doesn't say that he didn't send one off)

I'm not being a conspiracy theorist, but just look at the ridiculous bias from the two largest UK news outlets.

Don't forget the time the referee disallowed the Phil Jones own goal because Morata was being "Too physical" that time. Yeah, the time when Phil Jones tripped over his own feet because he's a defender with the IQ of a Panda.

Morata can't touch players but players are allowed to touch him.

The Ramires goal was the best of the lot. When you put into context the importance of it, it proves to be the best.

Lampard's pass, Ramires having the confidence to chip the keeper when we were in a mess, us being down to 10 men, the goal coming just before the half time whistle was blown. If this goal wasn't scored when it was, i think we would have been knocked out. This goal wasn't just good, it was one of the biggest goals in our history. It's up there with Drogba's header in the final, Lampard's goals to win us our first league title in 50 years and Gronkjaer's goal against Liverpool to secure our spot in the Champions League before Roman arrived.

I don’t get the lamps goal being super important.  It was not the last game of the season, and it was not like the Arguero goal in injury time that Citeh needed to pip MAnU for the title on the last day.  If we had drawn with Bolton then we would have won it the next week, most likely.  The other Chelsea goals, plus the Torres goal , were super important.

Because it allowed Makelele to take a penalty in the next game and score a goal!

Shocking tackle....deserved a red....not sure why the ref first took out a yellow.   Still don't think Wigan has enough though...but will be interesting
