Btw, does this chant exist?

" ? ? ? ? Oh when the Spurrrrsssssss Go bottling itttttttt Oh when the Spurs go bottling itttttttt You'll always beeeeeee serial bottlersssssss Oh when the Spurs go bottling itttttttt... ? ? ? ?? "

Given all the bad news lately in the premier league with our losses and with our top four rivals winning games they should have lost or drawn (Crystal Palace, I’m talking to you), this was welcome news indeed for lifting my spirits.

i am surprised juve started with barzagli. he is 36 years old and was getting done by son so often. benatia is rather average and chiellini is their best defender. in all honesty, spurs should have done better. i wouldn't even say they did well because that's an aging juve side with fairly average players bar dybala, higuain and chiellini. this was a great time to take advantage of juventus tbh.

Dybala is massively overrated. Their best players in both legs were costa and chiellini. Everyone wise I agree, average.

To be fair, no idea why anyone is taking these comments from Chiellini serious. Tottenham 1-0 up, and Juventus came back and won. That's football. Kane hit the post with a good header late on, and the rebound fell safe. The Dybala kid isn't overrated, he's got great technique and control, passing and a good finish. Argentina have to somehow get Messi and Dybala in the same team playing together. Dybala, Messi, Higuan, Di Maria and Aguero as an attacking unit. Jeez. All of them can't play, but still.

Watching this Arsenal game and my main take away so far - American commentators totally outshine the current English & Scottish. We get redundant facts and non stories throughout games - but the Americans far more often offer genuine insight or fresh perspective. They feel like real people as opposed to robots.

Listening to Glenn Hoddle, Darren Fletcher and Jermaine Jenas on BT sport is hard work. Hoddle talks like an old grandad trying to explain football to people that have never watched the sport before, Fletcher sounds angry all of the time and Jenas is completely clueless and acts like the Tottenham players are his best friends. Also, i find the lack of knowledge about other leagues embarrassing. I don't watch much of the other top leagues as much as i used to, but i understand it well enough. BT didn't seem to understand Italian football at all last night. Another annoying thing is listening to these people pronounce foreign names, you had Jenas saying Lichtenstein instead of Lichsteiner, and i often hear Hoddle saying Willun, instead of Willian in our games.

Sky aren't much better. I like Gary Neville as a football pundit, but bloody hell he is a boring commentator, the same goes for the overrated Martin Tyler. These two sound almost dead when commentating, they need to liven up a bit. Martin Tyler has his moments, but 99% of the time he is monotone. Even when a goal is scored he can barely get excited about what he is seeing.

I would love to see the difference between a Spanish commentator in games compared to English ones, it would probably be quite funny seeing such different types of reactions  English commentators lack enthusiasm, all you have to do to become a commentator is speak and know a bit about the game, you can get anybody to do the job these days.

So what's the odds on Arsenal wining the EL, we the CL and 4th place team preferably Spurs missing out on the CL? emoji23.pngemoji23.png

That’s not how it works any more I don’t think, the top 4 would still qualify and the EL/CL winners get a spot too. They changed it a few years ago as far as I know, which is how we had 5 PL teams in it this season.

I'm sure that when the changes were announced, that UEFA said that a maximum of 5 teams from the Premier League could play in the CL. So in the situation Brutos suggests, the 4th placed team would drop to the Europa League.

If only one of us could be arsed to google it then we’d know for sure :laugh2:
